Have used this product for several years, While the manufacturer says it is only for the head, many men use it elsewhere with great results. In addition to regrowing hair in the vertex area of my head. It works elsewhere. Be aware that this will not grow hair on a "cueball". You need to apply it to areas with hair follicles. And it just simply does not work in some people, Caution: We are all different in what we want and the tendency in our culture currently is to eschew body hair. I happen to like mine and was distressed that as I have aged, my armpit hair and chest and stomach hair has thinned out considerably. I never had much leg nor arm hair. It has regrown my arm hair considerably. Leg hair a bit less so although I now have some hair on my thighs. The biggest improvement has been the amount of hair growth in my armpits, chest, shoulders and stomach. One day when I was wearing a tanktop, a friend asked me if I stopped having my shoulders and armpits. I told him I never did and what I have been doing. He has a thin beard and cannot grow a beard that did not look moth-eaten. After 9 months of use, he was thrilled that his beard finally filled in. Much lower in cost than the name brand. I do buy it in bulk since I do use more that usual. The manufacturer does have a caution since it used to be a blood pressure medication and you should start off slow before gradually increasing the amount you use. I have never had a problem with low blood pressure from using it. It is an off-label use but many drugs are prescribed off label by physicians. This is an over-the-counter drug.

So far, this is the most affordable minoxidil kit I have found, and it has 5% strength, which is the maximum potency. I like that it comes in liquid form instead of the foam version; I find it's easier to apply to the scalp with the dropper that comes included; in my experience, when I use the foam, most of it stays on the hair, and it doesn't reach to the scalp.

I've been using Minoxidil for a decade or more with minimal effectiveness, since I'd only apply it in the morning but not at night. I'd also shampooed the stuff off at night. Also, I had stopped using it for about 3 months at one point and my hair did thin out considerably. The key is to use it on a daily basis. I'd stopped shampooing my hair at night recently and noticed that my hair became much thicker. It hasn't been as thick since my early twenties! So this stuff works, at least for me.

I think these have resulted in some breakout on my skin

Most of the bottles were received ok. The entire box was wet and falling apart from 2 bottles bursting.

This product works just like Rogaine for half the price.
