My son bought these because his thumbs are getting beaten up from fishing. Apparently the fish he has been catching don't give up very easily when he tries to remove the hook. He thought about different things he could use and saw these and decided to try them. They work great and he and my nephew who fishes with my son both are wearing them and there are no more bites and no more cuts. They're durable, fit great, and reusable. The price is great for 14 of these and do the job perfectly.

I don’t know where I got the idea to put these on my fingers. I think it’s from the accountants in the olden days when they would count money they would use these on their fingers to Scooch the money over better kind of like when you lick your finger to get like a bag open or something like that. It really helped this winter when I had a huge crack in my thumb cuticle every time I put it underwater it would sting so this really helped to protect it. One thing negative about it is that it attracts dirt so if you get the clear one, it turns gray really fast. I would recommend getting the skin colored one. It doesn’t seem to attract dirt as much and or maybe you just can’t tell fit my fingers perfectly bury water resistant. I’m able to move my fingers. Normally I do feel it when it’s on, but it was a great idea for people who have cuticle problems or finger problems. It’ll be great for the diabetics that have to poke their finger four times a day. I think I just had really dry skin this winter, and all my cuticles started cracking for some reason.

I’ve been writing a lot lately and have an unconventional pen grasp, aggravating/recreating a blister on my middle finger. I looked all over Amazon for a writing glove or finger guard of some sort to cover the blister (and cushion a spot on my thumb as well) but doesn’t prevent me from writing like a splint would, for example. This was the closest thing I could find. TL/DR, these work fine, I can still write with them on and they cushion the sore spots well. Please note the sizing (I was sent M, I don’t know if they come in other sizes), know they tear easily, to have baby powder or something similar on hand to revive a used one, and that they look really weird. I have very slim fingers and medium is a little big. They stay on fine, but they also fit an arthritic adult male in my family perfectly, so I would’ve preferred the option to get small or xs. They do cover the blister & sore spot and cushion the way I hoped. They’re not too slippery to hold a pen so I can still write with these on, but they’re so squishy that it’s difficult to control my handwriting (imagine writing with two numb fingers) — it just takes some time to get used to. The sore spot on my thumb is closer to the web, so I cut the tip off of the one I was using for my thumb, which is working nicely. There are more than enough in the bag that cutting them up isn’t a waste. They get sticky pretty fast, and since we have a cat, with stickiness comes fur. The instructions on the package say to wash, dry, and cover in baby powder to make it feel new again. Bentonite clay is an acceptable alternative, and I think corn starch is as well but don’t hold me to that. As they do tear pretty easily depending on how they’re used, I imagine I’ll have to throw most of these away before I’m able to “powder them back to normal.” Again, there are plenty, so it’s no biggie but pretty wasteful (on top of them being bagged in pairs within the larger ziplock they’re packaged in). They also look weird enough that I wouldn’t wear them out of the house without being very self-conscious (…I think the particular shade of pink doesn’t help), but that might just be me. So overall, one star off for these being particularly waste-heavy and prone to tearing, and the sizing not being clear. But they do get four for doing what I need them to do right now.

I have psoriasis on my hands and fingers that gets very itchy and dry, and often cracks and bleeds. I've been using bandages to cover them but that was proving costly, so I researched and found these silicone finger cots. I felt that these would be more practical and effective than bandages. I read the reviews from other customers and decided to chance it. I purchased the medium sized cots because my glove size is medium to large. Received them very quickly. First off I noticed that these cots are rather short, and especially for my needs, since my rash on most of my fingers runs the entire length of them, including the tip. I tried stretching them to fit, but the cots keep sliding up. As you can see in my photos I've attempted to get around the problem by trimming them and doubling them on the entirely covered fingers. The reviewers that mentioned the easy staining and problems picking up dirt are spot on. Also, I found the cots hard to use while trying to perform tasks like cooking. They also didn't work on the touch screen of my tablet, but partially on the touchscreen of my phone-I could tap but not swipe (???) Lastly, you can tell my pics I am black, and the color I ordered don't exactly go with my skin tone, lol. I think if I ordered these again I would purchase them in the white color rather than nude. The cots are comfortable; however they do come off easily. This may be because of the size I purchased. They also had a slight compression effect at first-this went away the longer I wore them. I'm kind of undecided if these will work on my job since they didn't do so well while cooking. My job duties involve typing on a computer as well as folding laundry. I may try covering them with plastic gloves; if this doesn't work I may just use them at bedtime. Definitely a learning curve with the cots.

Last year my husband had a partial amputation of his index finger due to an accident. It is very sensitive still, 11 months later. He is also the type to not always pay attention to what he is doing (thus the partial amputation) and had been bumping the stump of the remaining lower half of the finger into random things throughout the day. So I got him these finger cots to see if it would be a helpful remedy for the pain of the closed end. And it has been amazing! He wears one almost every day and is always commenting on how it is a great guard for his finger. I have also noticed that he has less re-injury to the suture site and these cots are allowing a true healing of the area.

I recently started doing embroidery. I have found that I use various parts of my fingers to push the needle through. I have a few very sore and painful fingers. I did a search for a “finger protector” and was pleasantly surprised that Amazon has just what I need. Who would have thought? Amazon to the rescue. I ordered it on Sunday night and received it Tuesday. I live in small town in the Ozarks and was very happy with this. The finger protector fits perfectly and works to save my finger from needle jabs. It is comfortable and I love it.

My husband is using them to stop the painful cracked fingertips he gets in Winter. He puts cream on the inside overnight and they are protected throughout the night from the dry cold air. They are a great product. Delivered in good time - happy!
