It is getting harder to get nice black boys school shorts and so I turned to Amazon and these shorts didn't disappoint. They feel good quality and look nice and smart. The shorts have an elastic back waistband and front zip and hook and bar fastening. My 5 year old isn't so good at the fastening but the elastic waistband gives just enough stretch to allow him to pull the shorts up/down by himself without bothering with the fastening. One thing to note - the elastic waistband is quite stiff/tight. It is pretty much true to size, but if your son is on the larger side he might find it too tight and you may want to size up. (The elastic is not adjustable). So far they are wearing and washing well and I wouldn't hesitate to order again, when needed.

Very disappointed. This is my first time buying uniform online as usually use the supermarkets. However my son still wants to wear shorts in October! They split in the gusset area on first day. They were not right so plenty of room. Have sewn the seams back together and checked all.the other lose threads. Wouldn't recommend.

Very well made nice school shorts with good sized pockets and good strong material. Just the thing for school in the summer.

Very good quality fabric and look very smart on.My son is a slender 4 year old and the age 4-5 fitted him perfectly (most age 4-5 shorts are too big for him) so I would definitely say if you are trying to decide between sizes go for the larger size.

Great quality.I needed the elastic in side waistband to alter size, so unfortunately had to return as didn’t fit.Return was quick & easy.

These shorts are very badly made. I am constantly having to cut off thread which has come loose also, one of the belt loops completely came loose. I won’t be buying this product again and I wouldn’t recommend it.

Love the tightening buttons at the side (struggle to get these with older kids clothes)
