Wild Dogs: Past & Present Hardcover – September 1, 2005

Although this book is aimed at a juvenile audience, it provides a great overview for adults of the evolutionary history of canids and their current distribution. The text is informative and doesn't talk down to its intended audience, which is why the book is so suitable for adults as well. The plethora of full-colour pictures, however, is what makes Wild Dogs Past & Present such a superb reference. Anyone living with a dog needs a copy of this book!

Excellent book with beautiful pictures. My daughter had brought this home for her school library and it had such amazing pictures in it we just had to own a copy for ourselves. Lots of great info on wolves and foxes, wild dogs, etc.
