Original Ski Balm, 1.5 oz We are all about zipping down a snow-covered mountainside on Skis, Boards, Tubes, or perhaps, on one’s tush. There’s no feeling quite like floating on a sea of white powder flakes. However, we also understand the harm the wind, the cold, and the sun reflecting off the mountainside can do to one’s skin. Invented by skiers, The Original Ski Balm is designed to defend against the elements of the slopes that can ruin a perfect day with a week of chapped, dry, windburned skin. Not to mention the lovely goggle tan. Our natural balm is breathable, yet locks in moisture without clogging your pores. The barrier is further enhanced with SPF 40 sun protection to keep both the wind and sun from ruining your week. SPF 40 Kid safe Waterproof Noncomedogenic Cruelty-Free Made in the USA MADE BY SKIERS! So save your face, protect your skin and, as we like to say: Ski Naked. We’ve Got You Covered.

Wow, completely impressed with this!
I was a little skeptical of the Ski Balm but for the price I was like, "sure, why not." Wow...I can't believe how nice and useful this stuff was!! So we spent 2 days on the mountain and I rubbed a fair amount on my cheeks, nose, and ears and was surprised, first of all, with how light and not heavy feeling this stuff was also the scent was really light and not noticeable but just smelled....natural, for lack of a better word! I was expecting a petroleum jelly feel/consistency but it felt more like Burt's Bees Lip Balm going on. After the first day my friends (who weren't wearing the balm) had major "raccoon eyes" sun burns around where their goggles were! I however looked just the same as when we went up in the morning! Hahaha after that, on the second day, they decided to put some of the Ski Balm on too and they commented on how nice feeling the stuff was and at the end of the second day they were just as impressed as I was with the results. Also, somewhere along the trip I lost my Burt's Bees lip balm and after reading the ingredients (which were all very simple, natural ingredients: Natural Beeswax, Chamomile Extract, Pine Essential Oil, Shea Butter, Vitamin E, Aloe Vera) in a pinch I used some of this on my lips because my lips had gotten really badly chapped. And wow!! I might not ever go back to Burt's! Literally overnight, my lips felt and looked SO much better than the day before! I'm sold! I'll be buying this for every beach trip, ski trip, etc! Great product! I totally recommend buying some of this before your trip!Amazing stuff!

Finally!
Husband is an avid hiker and climber but has yet to find a sunscreen that he will use and works. Until now! I bought Ski Balm for him for Christmas, he's been on two climbs since and came home from both trips without any sun or wind burn. The container is easy to toss in his pack and he likes the slightly thicker consistency that doubles as a lip balm.

Unusable
Decided to try this as an alternative to Dermatone for winter cycling, hiking, etc. Product is so hard, waxy, and dry that it is wholly unusable. Can't even get enough on my fingers to put on my lips. Returned, will stick with Dermatone.

A little thick, but works well.
I do a lot of cross-county skiing in winter, which, in northern Wisconsin, can really dry out your skin. I've found using products like this really helps. This is a thick, clear balm that also provides SPF. A little goes a long way and doesn't get rubbed off very easily. Despite being thick, I haven't had problem with it clogging my pores, ether. So far I'm pleased with this balm.

Amazing product. Better than sunscreen
This stuff is amazing. I hate the feeling of sunscreen, but I don't mind this stuff at all. I used to wear a mask, but hated how soggy it got by the end of the day, plus using my water bladder was nearly impossible. I have worn Ski Balm on sunny days, and cloudy gusty days, and my face has felt great every time. I have started recommending it to anyone I ski or ride with.

Difficult to spread
As Kiehl's no longer has their ski balm, I was looking for a replacement. I'm disappointed at how stiff this product is. It's very difficult to spread this on your face, especially if you're keeping it in your pocket as you ski and isn't warm.

Works great year-round
I ski all winter and bike the rest of the year. It can do a number on my face. I had been using a similar product (beeswax based) which was inexplicably discontinued. This stuff works great. No goggle lines, sun or windburn. Do not sell it short by only billing it for winter use. It works for any outdoor activity where sun and wind are a factor.

Great idea, but too greasy for me.
Pros:- I liked the idea of a natural sunblock.- Made in the USA.Cons:- Smells very strong.- Was just too think and greasy for me to consider putting on my face without feeling like an oil slick.I returned this.
