Full of educational info for the seasoned beekeeper

GREAT for the new Beek!I started with bees in '76, so that's almost half a century. Mr. Tew was a respectable name even in my earlier days. Now, my wife has questions, & I found it easier to get this for her so she can have a "reputable" guy giving answers!!

This was a pretty good book for beginner's and intermediate beekeepers for guiding you to the most common types of solutions to various beekeeping problems. But don't look to this book for instructions for how to accomplish the indicated solution. I think I counted less than a dozen actual 'this is how you do it' instructions. The pictures are gorgeous, the writing is clear and amusing. This is a great book to help beekeepers early in their career. As such I would highly recommend it. But it does need to be coupled with a good 'how-to' book as a companion.

Great easy to find answers to problems in beekeeping

I have this as a birthday gift to my father who is a beekeeper and he really enjoyed it!

good info, guess I was looking too hard for a decent book

I really liked this book. It was pack full of good advice organized in a topical fashion. I am going to keep this one around for reference.

very good book from start to finish and health of your hive and risks diseases to help the bee keeper

I know the book meant well but it is cumbersome to use, doesn't have all the problems you will find, and gives reasonably simplistic solutions. Find a good bee mentor instead!
