Relatively large dual antenna unit, receiving 2.4GHz and 5GHz wifi signals. It is too heavy and large to be fitted directly into a USB slot and the side of your computer, a few knocks and after a while it would probably damage your socket. But it comes with a remote USB port on the end of a chunky USB3.0 cable. It's important to install the software that comes with it before plugging it in - the last time I plugged an antenna like this in first I spent hours having to chase warning messages and eventually uninstalled everything and put the software on first (a proper IT geek could have sorted it out I presume, but it is easier just to install the Realtek driver first, if your computer doesn't already have it on.)I used Netspot to test the WiFi signal strength and this antenna receives our router's signal at between -60 to -50dB (that's with the signal going up through two wood and plaster floors). This is very good. I've attached a graph of the received signal over 30 mins and it is very consistent (the drop in the red 2.4GHz line was my Plusnet router failing as usual, but it recovered quickly enough).Excellent unit, physically tough enough to survive knocks and the received signal strength is high and consistent.(I don't buy those small signal antenna units anymore, I've got through 3 in the last two years with them breaking apart and the circuit board getting damaged, with the usual occasionally light knocks a device will get hanging off the side of a desktop computer.)

This is the 3rd WiFi setup I've bought in as many weeks. The others were pretty much useless.This on the other hand is bloody brilliant.My desktop pc was connected using homeplugs and the internet speed was pretty naff. We have a 200mb broadband but the PC never touched 15mb.This WiFi dongle took all of 5 minutes to get up and running.Insert CD, download software, plug dongle in, search for your network, add passcode, enjoy mad speeds.Cheap and works great.I really wasn't expecting too much after buying another 2 WiFi setups that let me down badly.This one is really good value.The pictures shows the difference I was getting. The slower speeds were using the other WiFi dongle I bought and returned.

I had been troubled by continual drop outs of my PC links to my router . My current dongle clearly was not up to the challenge. I chose this dongle in the hope that it would solve my problem after extensive research on the internet and also looking at previous reviews. It was very easy to install and quickly established a strong link to my router that is located in another room in my flat. On the basis of my experience so far (6 months) I have rated it quite highly other than Tech Support as I have had no need to access that resource so far

Definately improves the signal and make it a quicker - how much probably depends on a number of factors so probably different for each person.But I am happy with it. My computer get the internet up quicker now. Only draw back is the base - it is quite small so likely to tip over as the upper half is a lot bigger and taller. But having said that it is sitting ok on top of the computer and I am impressed with the functions etc.

This is a very good usb wifi adapter,i had an issue with my old wifi adapter kept dropping out or disconnecting all together.not once has this product done any of the above issues.speeds and signal are wonderful.quality is very good also very easy to set up, plug and play really.good value for money i highly recommend this product.

i moved my pc to an upstairs spare bedroom, i was getting low quality wifi with the built in wifi, so i decided to buy an adaptor, this wifi adaptor is brilliant, it easy to install and is very fast, the signal quality i receive is so strong before it was only 30% and now its on 87%, i also receive more signals when scanning, its great im very pleased with it.

Easy as 1, 2, 3 :) Plug in and it works with my Windows 10 Laptop. Has the added advantage of coming with a USB docking type station, which is handy and that also works with other devices such as USB thumb drives.The wifi dongle is perfect for adding a 5ghz option to my old laptop. Faster wifi speeds.

A very neat solution to boosting WiFi connectivity between a router situated in a different space to one's computer, iPad etc. Signal strength good and set-up relatively easy and fast especially on my Windows 10 machine.
