Tristan und Isolde: Libretto

A Great Help
My enjoyment of an opera on an audio disc is greatly enhanced by neading the libretto as I listen to the music, and since the ones [rovided by record makers are often "falling-apart" flimsy with ting, hard-to-read print I often have to struggle with a mass of unboud pages that I try to keeop in the proper order. This especially true with a long opera like Tristan where updated CD sets of some older versions like the 1936 Melchior-Flagstad recordeing come with no libretto at all. I found this German libretto with English translation to be a great help at an affordable price.

Tristan und Isolde
The libretto includes the description of the setting and stage design next to the words (as poems) of the different characters. Reading the libretto before deciding to see the opera was an important thing to do. By fully understanding the plot I was able to enjoy the music. The libretto is a "must read" for opera lovers.

Good, Acceptable, libretto translated to English
This translation seems OK/good. I have seen other translations of text from the German that I prefer during certain scenes from this opera.

Perfect
I needed this libretto as a prop in a community theater production called "...in the time of old age" by Gord Carruth.
