I have read the bible for almost 70 years, and thought I knew quite a bit about it, but this book opened my eyes to verse after verse concerning fasting that i had read countless times, simply 'fast-forwarding' past the words Fast or Fasting. I went immediately from feeling embarrassed to feeling very guilty for neglecting something which is so obviously pointed out. We in the USA have such plenty we indulge ourselves without even realizing it. I read it in one sitting, couldn't put it down till I completed it. Now I'll use it as a permanent reference.

Derek Prince is one of the most amazing spiritual leaders of the Christian era. He possessed great spiritual insight always perfectly blending the Word and the Spirit of God. This book tells us why some Christians never really receive all that God has for them in life. Even though all the promises of God are true, Christians have to be able to get into faith and stay in faith long enough to appropriate everything that God promises them. Derek Prince is right. Of all the prayers, fasting prayer brings the greatest success!

Derek Prince reminds Christians of the call to prayer and fasting. This is a message desperately needed today! I highly recommend this book for anyone wanting to deepen their walk with the Lord, for church leaders, pastors and elders seeking a deeper movement of God.

I had this book in my library as a sample and didn't have the 5 bucks to spare due to tight budget. But i just see myself violating my budget and went to bought it anyways. But i have learned much and greatly.

So often we wonder why we struggle so when we know that God is so powerful. Brother Prince shows us that fasting is a powerful key that unlocks God's power in our lives when we come to Him with right motives. I would recommend this book to everyone that wants to find God's best in their life.

I have read books on fasting before,but this book opened my eyes to the difference between being filled with the spirit and the power of the spirit. The examples given in this book are very apropos to what is going on now in the world.

This is an excellent introduction to fasting giving you excellent Biblical illustrations from the Old Testament and New Testament. Fasting is an important way for us to humble ourselves before The Lord making ourselves available to be used by God. The author affirms that fasting brought about great results in the past and will continue to release His Spirit in us as we fast. I recommend this book as a good start on your understanding of fasting.

I have been practicing Christianity for two years. Within these two years I have recieved many blessings . I continually battle with the world and what is going on.I was afraid my faith was failing and read about fasting to reach a higher understanding. This book has helped me to overcome the wiles of the devil.I recommended this book to people who are serious following the Holy Trinity.

I found this book by chance and it has not disappointed me. It is very concise and to the point. The Lord is telling us Christians of the church to constantly fast and pray and when we meet these conditions He will move in a mighty way on our behalf. If we want to defeat the enemy we have to be obedient to what the Lord says.

An Absolutely insightful & amazing book. I gained a lot of knowledge about fasting that I did not know before & felt the holy spirit speaking to me through each page as I read. What I liked about this book is that everything written is based on & back up by Scriptures. This is an excellent book that I would highly recommend for every Christian. There are so many misconceptions about fasting today and after reading this book l am much more confident and clearer about the purpose of fasting.
