Works great, make sure you get the right blade
My wife already owned the clippers that this blade goes on when we got married. The old blade was starting to wear out so we bought a new one at the local pet store. The new blade did not work, and we were assuming the clippers were broken. Luckily, I did some research and discovered the differences between the blades and realized the #2 we bought just wouldn't cut it with our lab / chow mix. Another reviewer said they had the exact same type dog and recommended the #7. We bought it, and it works great. The dog's hair is very thick and this blade cuts it off like sheep's wool. Our dog does not like getting his hair trimmed, so if the vet were to do it, she would have to put him completely under using general anesthesia. This makes it a $200+ haircut, and the dog can barely walk for the rest of the day. We give him some benadryl to calm him down, put a muzzle on him, and hold him by a leash. It takes both of us to get it done, but it takes about 15 minutes and we save $200 each time. He doesn't like the haircut, but he's much happier with a fresh trim during the spring and summer. We have given him 3 haircuts with the new blade (he's a big dog, about 80lbs), and it's still cutting great. I highly recommend this blade and the clipper it goes on.

My dog was relieved I got the new blade
I had no idea what I was doing, and what sizes were what. I live in a remote area, with no dog groomers, and I have to do this chore myself. The Oster blade that came with the shear, was awful, I cut only one dog, and couldn't finish a second dog, and the blade fell apart. THIS BLADE HOWEVER - did not disappoint. The blade, leaves a cut that looks like your dog has a herringbone sweater on. Which I found quite pleasing. The blade did not get hot, and my dog snuggled up closer to allow me to finish. The blade worked and exceeded expectations, was shipped very quickly and my dog was only teased for a day or two before it arrived, and I could repair the first cut that the other blade fell apart on.

Good Clipper blade
I bought this to add to my collection for clipping down Old English Sheepdogs. This #7 blade gets under any mats that may be present. Not too terribly close to the skin but close enough to get under mats. They can be sharpened several times when they get dull from use. Seems to hold a edge a good amount of time.

Great Blade - Great Price
Bought this specific blade for trimming a Goldendoodle for summer. The blade moves easily through the coat and is easy to keep clean and cool. The nice thing about the Andis UltraEdge system is how fast you can switch blades between dogs. Each of our pooches require a different blade setting, so swapping them out is a snap. The price for this item was considerably less than what you will pay in a retail store, so Amazon is the only way to go! Highly Recommended!

Using the right clipper blade makes all the differance!
We have 3 mini schnauzer. Grooming would be expensive if we took them in. So we bought an Andis clipper and tried a couple different blades for it. Was not liking it very much. We were getting mad at how hard it was to get them cut, it took forever and we almost said @#$% it but decided we would try one more blade. We tried the Size-7 skip tooth and it was perfect! It works great and fast! We do not do a fancy cut or anything as we are not professional groomers. Pretty much all the same length for all the dogs. Quick math 1 dog at the groomers = 40 to 60 $$$ x 3 dogs = forget about it. DIY for LIFE!

great for goldendoodles!
I have a Goldendoodle that's heavy on the poodle side, so crazy thick curly hair that needs to be cut often. Groomers get too expensive so I've always done it myself. A regular clipper blade can't get through my pups hair. The first time I tried it was terrible. I thought I might need expensive sheep shears. I did some research and found this skip tooth blade for my clippers. It works great!! My dog is over five years old now and this is my third blade purchase. I don't know how or if you can sharpen them but for this price I don't mind buying one every couple years. My second one was from another company and didn't last as long as this Andis brand. Obviously, you can keep the blades sharp longer if you give your dog a bath the day before clipping. Dirt in the hair/fur will dull a blade quicker. I definitely recommend this product!

Excellent quality
Great for getting through that long coat for their summer cut, after a bath of course.

We have a large dog with very thick hair. We’ve tried a few different clippers and blades with poor results. This skip tooth blade is great. It passes through hair easily and it doesn’t heat up very quickly. We bought two blades so we could swap them when they got hot but they stay much cooler than I expected.
