Amazing features in a dense brick
This is my 2nd portable generator. My old one is basically designed to charge with an AC adapter, not solar. My 45 watt solar panel is too puny to charge it. The AllPowers unit has a power meter that displays the charge or drain current, and it charges just fine with my 45 watt panel. I have both Android and iOS phones and was surprised that both work great with the built in wireless charger. To test the AllPowers out with some current drain, I completely emptied a Ryobi 40V power tool battery then put it in its charger and plugged it into the AC port of the AllPowers to charge. WHILE charging an external battery with the AllPowers via its AC inverter, I plugged in my 100W solar panel to charge at the same time. (My old generator can’t do charging and discharging at the same time.) After a couple of hours the Ryobi battery was 100% and the AllPowers dropped slightly. It regained full charge a couple hours later. The power meter is really useful! Essential really. My old generator is around 6 lbs and this one is around 8 lbs. My old one has around 50,000 mAH, and this has double at 100,000 mAh. It’s an enormous amount of storage for its size.I was hoping I could keep an eye on the charging progress from a distance using the phone app but I did not find it very useful since it is a pain to connect and disconnects at around 6 feet away.At the time I bought my AllPowers AP-SS-005 Amazon offered an immediate $100 off, so I’m pleased with the functionality it provides at that price.Update March 2020: I bought a 2nd unit recently and it stopped charging after a while. AllPowers replaced it promptly.Notes from experience:- The AC inverter works great with small tools like a Dremel, or a hand drill. The start up surge of a rotary hand saw, however, will trip the breaker.- If it gets below freezing temperatures, it won’t power up until warmed up a bit.- They arrive with zero percent power initially, charge slowly at first, and won’t power up for quite a while. Don’t panic.

I am a Allpowers fan. I have 5 of these !
I am a Allpowers fan. I bought 5 of them ! This is exactly as advertised and I recommend it for appropriate usesI plugged in a USB C power adapter and it charged at 60 watts. That's what I recommend and will continue to use. I also tried using solar power with the Anderson adapter. That would not charge at more than 40 Watts, so I/'ll stick with the type C connector for charging. It CAN provide output while it is charging BUT inasmuch as it will only charge at 60 Watts, then if you don't want the battery to deplete, the output must not exceed 60 Watts. If the output exceeds 60 Watts, then it will work but the battery will be depleted. The onboard display will tell you everything you need to know. This is an EXCELLENT MUST HAVE VALUE. I could not find anything with equal or near equal power and all of the same features for less than twice this price.Superb customer support.I use it to charge my drones, cameras, phones, tablets, laptops. I also have used it to power my air purifier and then charge it up with solar.I have a two Allpowers 100 Watt portable, foldable solar "panels" as well as several Goal Zero 50 Watt, 100 Watt and 200 Watt Panels.

Pretty decent little battery bank.
So far, so good. Received completely depleted, and it wasn't charging up correctly. I plugged it into my solar panel, and that seemed to get the battery voltage up to where it could be registered. It could then be charged via the power supply.I have only tried charging this with a 50 watt panel, but I got 32 watts from that. I just ordered 2 60 watt panels and will see what the charge efficiency is on it.Bluetooth didn't work properly either. I contacted allpowers, and they guided me to resetting the controller, and that did the trick. It works, has a good capacity, and can provide the emergency power needs.Update: 1/28/20So.... this thing has some serious issues. It will lock up after powering down, requiring the 2 30 amp fuses to be removed. Also, I had the individual cells get out of balance, causing the bms to shut itself off. It would not accept a charge, which is also another thing. The bank will not accept a charge from the ac adapter. It will not take any power in from it. The mppt charge function still works, so I haven't made a grumble about it, but at this point I found it wouldn't accept a charge from any power source now.I took the bank apart, and found many, many loose connections. The individual boards are sandwiched in using standoffs, and the standoffs are what carry the dc power to the boards. Everyone of these were loose, causing the boards to just be floppy. I took it down to the bms board, and applied a charge of each cell bank to 3.7VDC. I then put it back together and the bms came back to life allowing everything to power up and receive a charge.Seems to me that the assembly and QA portion of this product is seriously lacking. I would not recommend anyone buy this bank, as there are better options out there with more capacity, and better construction.

It works for my camper aux. power however...
Charged through its power supply, charged from the solar, charged from another unit, also provides power while charging...USB and 12V DC are on one button, 110 VAC is on another, a third button is to turn on blutooth and hence have the unit able to be controlled by an app on phone (the phone needs both blutooth and location turned on) and the reach is up to about 20ft unobstructed...The two lights are bright and have individual on/off buttons. At some point the unit stopped working and upon contacting customer service and providing a video about the malfunction and info about the purchase (was told there's 60 month warranty) another unit was sent to replace it.
