Dairy and wheat are the main culprits of stomach upset for me. I can take Digest, even after eating, for 10-minute relief from intense pain. If I take Digest before meals, I don't experience the gas buildup that activates my hiatal hernia. I found Digest in Whole Foods when I was having an episode. It was the only product on the shelf and I found out why. I have only tried the basic formula because that works for my occasional lapses in judgment so I am not sure what benefits the other formula's bring to the table. But when I cannot sleep I take one tablet and I am asleep 20 minutes later.

used it once and it gave me the runs. I guess that's how it helps you digest by breaking down the food to a liquid state. Will only use as a laxative if i need it

I want share a story of just how potent this brand is. I've taken enzymes in the past, but in tablet form, so I've never opened the capsule and sprinkled it on my food.
