This is great for my needs. It heats up quickly and works well. I have thick hair and you can grab a large amount and it still works. It seems to work better with larger amounts of hair than a normal straightening iron. Also, regulating the heat setting is easy and it heats up quickly.

Nice product, but the brush within creates a gap between the flat irons, hence, they can't touch against each other and the pressure needed to polish the hair is missing. Still good product.

The media could not be loaded.  Just got the hair straightener yesterday and tried it out today. I must say I'm definitely impressed! I have very thick, frizzy/wavy and coarse Asian hair and normally I have to set the flat iron to 400/425F to get my hair smoothed out. But the Berta brush iron was able to get everything done at 350F.The iron heats up super fast, about 30-40 seconds to 350F, and about 90 seconds to 425F. With normal flat irons, you usually have to section hair into thinner sections, but with the Berta, more hair works better. Mind you, the Berta isn't too straighten your hair like a normal flat iron; this one smooths out the frizz, makes your hair look straighter with volume, and it looks NATURAL.I can definitely see myself using this to tame my hair after going to the gym, or quickly get a messy bedhead to look presentable, and get rid of the indents that your hair ties can leave in your hair after having it up the whole day/night. Best of all, I don't have to crank the heat setting to the highest to get amazing results! I definitely recommend this product!! Plus, it comes with a heat protection glove that you can use with the Berta and your other hair styling tools!

I'm not sure how I feel about this product. It did straighten my hair for the most part, but it didn't wow me. Not sure if I want to keep this or return it. I felt like it tugged at my hair, which is a no no for me. Also: the glove has a hole in the area between the thumb and pointer finger. I expected the glove to be brand new and with no defects.

How much do I LOVE this flat iron? So much that I bought a second one for my daughter less than a week after I purchased one for me! This flat iron heats up so fast (after the first use, I only heat to 350, it was that hot!) and the brush style bristles get hot, too, for an almost single pass through to achieve results. It gave us straight yet bouncy, sleek hair. My daughter and I have super thick, wavy hair and the heated teeth get every side of the hair was we pull through, every time. Be sure your hair is brushed prior to using as the teeth will snag a knot. I wish it had protective steam (like my last one) but with a lower temp, it hasn't damaged my hair yet. Love this and HIGHLY recommend!

Nice but not meant for African American hair unless you want a quick (weak) press for some neat braids, slick ponytail or temporary removal of coils & frizz. My kids have 4B hair... I run this over their hair 1x then proceed to style/braid.Not like a flat iron being pressed with a comb.... the teeth are wide spread and the iron plates don't completely touch.

This straightener worked wonders on my hair, I have long (mid thigh length) hair and it's always such a hassle to straighten my hair even at the highest heat setting. I was able to straighten my hair in half the time using the Berta Straightener and didn't even cause much heat damage since I didn't have to turn the temperature up too high. I can't believe I finally found my go to straightener for everything. As soon as the package arrive in bubble wrap, I was so excited to try it. And I'm glad I ordered this. Most other straighteners leave my hair still frizzy but Berta's straightener left it long luscious and frizz free.

I was very skeptical of all the good reviews of this straightener, but I can assure you I have not been paid or given anything for this review and I would give it 10 stars if I could! I love how fast it heats up and how very easy it is to use! My daughter and I have very thick hair and it only takes about 5 minutes to get it all straightened! I love having the brushes to keep it all together and get it straight without much work. I can't believe I waited so long to give a straightener a try, I would highly recommend this one!!
