For the price it’s a nice ball. The weight makes it easy for my son to practice with and states to close to a professional official ball. Doesn’t deflate over time easily like some other ones we’ve bought before, which is goods. We’ve even used it for an official volleyball game for his school when they lost a ball to the rafters of the gym. The referees were shocked to see how well the ball looked and felt, very durable. Easily on the hands when our son plays with it.

two of the rec centers i play at use these balls. a lot of rec/beginner level players love this ball because it is soft and it doesn't hurt as much when you dig hard serves/spikes. the grip on the ball is nice because the ball doesn't slip as much when you set. one thing i noticed with this ball is that when it's cold (in the gym, or you're coming from outside during winter) it tends to feel heavier when you're first starting to warm-up with passing and setting, but it's fine after a while. if you play with a lot of hard-hitting players, i recommend paying the extra $20+ dollars for the Tachikara SV5W Gold, Molten Pro Touch, or Molten Super Touch instead because they last longer. otherwise, you may have to get one of these every 6 months (maybe less?), depending on how often you play and the level of play. in summary, this ball is great for recreational play, but not so good for higher level play unless you can afford to get a new one every so often. on that note, beware of the rec players who tend to kick volleyballs like they're punting a soccer ball -- that definitely shortens the lifespan of any volleyball, cheap or expensive!

This is the ball you want to get if you play club or team volleyball. My daughter just finished U12 season and is transitioning to U13 in the fall where they will play with the official weighted balls. And this is exactly the same as the ones she uses in practice. She loves practicing with this.

I am a VB Coach and have used these in both HS and travel ball. They're not the best but no where near the worst either. For the price, especially a HS budget, this is what I would go with to get more "balls" for buck. I have used cheaper balls but the quality is terrible..warped, bumpy, no true spin, etc... These have always been great, they do wear down, like, everything, but I have had over 90% for 5 or more years. You can spend more for higher quality, but at HS/jr club level, I don't see the difference.
