TAPTES Wireless Charger for Tesla Model 3 2017-2020, M3 Accessories

This was super ez to install. Better quality than oem. It opens and closes with no issues at all. This was perfect for my M3. It has a placement for two phones. Has a little nodule in the middle so if you have a wide phone then it will not fit snug to charge. I have a zfold 8 so my phone won't fit :( but my son's iPhone charges perfectly. They should make a different design for wider phones...lol I love it and at least it works ,my oem failed on me.

I bought what looks like an identical charger to this back in 2021, but it could never charge a phone more than ten seconds. Gave up using it, but finally replaced with this new one and this one works, Two iPhone 17 Pro's at the same time. It functions on a dual USB A 2.0 splitter so I would assume both phones are only getting 2.5w but it does seem to reliably charge them slowly.

Just keep in mind its size limitations for larger phones.

This charger works great and perfectly matches the Model 3 interior. It looks like it came with the car once you have it installed. It comes with adhesive to mount the panel to the car, but I have had mine for months just sitting in the phone area and it has been solid. Doesn't move or make any noise even though it's not actually stuck to the car. The install quite literally takes less than one minute. Remove the stock rubber piece, feed the cables through and install the new charger, and plug them into the USB port below. Done! It's nice to just be in the habit of sitting my phone in this area anyways, and now I get a good amount of charge back even on short trips. On longer trips I leave it there and the phone is pretty much always at 100% whenever I get to where I'm going. It's also nice that it includes the two-way splitter so you can plug both of the cables into a single USB port in the front of the car. This allows you to leave your flash drive installed in the other USB port for use with Tesla Cam functions (dash cam/sentry mode). My only small complaint is I don't know why they didn't just build the splitter into the unit itself. That would have eliminated the need to have two separate cables and the splitter device in the center console area. Overall this is a great charger and a must have accessory for your Model 3. The stock charging setup with the cable at the bottom is a pain to use, especially if you have a case on your phone. This makes the whole thing effortless and you'll charge your phone much more often since you don't have to mess with it. I don't see any reason why you would buy the OEM charger compared to this, especially when you see the price difference.

I bought another wireless pad for my Tesla Model 3 but had to return it because of charging issues and the unit running quite hot. Pros: - This is thick-case friendly! I'm able to charge my iPhone XS Max using a sliding case that holds 2-3 credit cards/IDs (Samonpow case) - The overheating protection seems to work well - my phone doesn't feel as hot compared to the first unit I bought - Install was easy and I didn't have to use the double sided tape to keep it in place - The color of the unit matches well with the matte black of the surrounding areas, ie: armrest, interior etc. I've installed a deep matte black vinyl wrap for my center console and this matches the color perfectly - uniformed and simple look. Cons: NONE (Maybe they could've added another USB splitter?) Would also like to mention that it doesn't provide fast charging with the current configuration unless you connect this to a Q-charger plugged into the cigarette port. I don't want to run a USB cord and make the console area messy looking just to get that extra boost of charge - I'm ok with the simplicity. Buy this already! You won't regret it.

I bought this to replace a far more expensive one that died. This charge pad looked identical, fits perfectly, was very easy to install, and had the added benefit of still allowing access to both USB ports while in use. As I am an early adopter for my Tesla, I bought the old back when accessories were hard to find and still very expensive. That brand was the only option back then, was almost $200 and only lasted about four years. This has good charge speed, fits both my Galaxy and iPhone, and still allows me to close the cover if desired, and was inexpensive. Good value for the money. I would purchase it again.

When I received third item I was delighted. It fit perfectly in the console and looked elegant. However it is so slow that charging is almost useless. The phone isn’t even in use when it’s charging because the Tesla has its own navigation tablet built into it yet I take it off the charger only a few percent greater than when I started Do yourself a favor and buy something else.

very good value, charger absolutely works as intended for the most part. it fits solidly where it should, albeit with some double sided tape to keep it there. i give 3 1/2 stars because my phone will slide on it more often than not. not the biggest deal in the world, but when it slides to the left it will interupt charging. the way the pad works simply putting the phone back in its original position is not enough to resume charging. when charging is interrupted the charge light will begin to blink... so you have to keep the compartment lid up to see when this happens... and when you notice it you have to fully take the phone off the chargepad until the lights stop blinking completely. Merely sliding the phone back into position? won't charge. put the phone back down too fast? phone won't charge. also keep in mind you are driving while playing this game. so for future revisions perhaps a better nonslip surface? maybe a notch or a button on each side that would prevent devices from sliding too far out of the way? i eventually attached a small piece of foam to the peripheral edge to prevent device sliding. that being said, it is a solid device at a good price. do not regret purchase.

Instructions leaflet is minimal and it would have helped if they’d explained the protection bar slides left to remove. Once I worked that out, install in my M3 2020 SR+ took two minutes and my phone charges straight away with an LED indicator. There’s a double sided adhesive pad in the box, presumably for fixing - didn’t want the install permanent, so didn’t use. UPDATE: On some road surfaces, the unit can rattle a bit. The adhesive solves this. UPDATE: After several months - still working well. Sometimes the phone decides it’s misaligned and the light flashes to indicate no charging, so you need to pick the phone up and drop it back.
