Why did you pick this product vs others?:Used this for my folding backpack sluice replacing expanded metal/miners moss.Where I am it's all Glacial till gold also called flour gold. My only complaint which is a good complaint is that it captured a lot of concentrates!! Sure glad to have classifiers and a cleanup sluice.

These mats are fantastic for sluicing. They clean up way easier than carpet or miners moss. The variety of different rib heights and pocket sizes allows for better fine and small gold entrapment.

Works well

this is the 3rd matt i bought - I am building a high banker custom and using these mats. I had a 12-inch sluice width so I had to buy an extra matt to make up 12 inches. they need to make this 12 inches wide- a standard size.I look forward to using this in my high-bank with Shaker.

Work's great

I ran various sizes, shapes, weights of gold from extra fine to pickers through the mat and it caught all of the gold. I'm using an RDH 10" sluice with a 1200GPH pump. With the sluice set at a 13 degree pitch material classified to 1/2". The riffles are not overly filled and not washed out either as they should be. The mat has a few humps but not high enough to be up out of the water flow so does not appear to affect the performance. Cleanout is quick and easy since it's a rubber mat and the amount of material collected is easily panned out with one panning. Only four stars as I wished it did lay perfectly flat. I read some suggest using a heat gun to flatten it out but since it works as-is why risk ruining it. Update 3/22: I was at the Phoenix gold show and they had this same mat, same price, same material, and it laid absolutely flat even after folding and rolling so looks like it can be made perfect. Did I get a bad batch? Or does this supplier have a quality issue? Reducing my rating to 3 stars.

Very pleased with this mat

Dec. 9th 2021- It did not come rolled up. Juat folded over and it adjusted back to its proper shape with no problem. I cut this to fit my folding sluice for capturing super fine gold and am happy with the end result. I'll update this when I've had a few chances to use it. Make sure to scrub it with a degreaser to get rid of any oils or releasing agents from its manufacturing process that will make it easier for gold slip out of the riffles.
