This specialty bacon is called "back-bacon" because it is made with pork loin, and is much leaner than American bacon which is typically made from pork belly. Each 8 oz pack contains approximately 6-8 slices ("rashers") of back-bacon. Traditional back-bacon is fabulous as part of a traditional Full English breakfast, makes an amazing B.L.T, and is a brilliant ingredient in quiche, spaghetti carbonara and soups. It is very easy to cook, and sizzles in a little oil for 3-4 minutes on each side in the pan. Great authentic flavor
Growing up in the UK I was familiar with back bacon. This bacon is a good substitute, with good flavor. My only slight comment is that the fat was a little too thick cut and needed trimming. This is a great product for a British breakfast fry up or a bacon “buttie”.

A lot like the Irish rashers, but a wee bit smaller than Donelly's Irish Rashers.

This bacon was bought as a gift for two people who had it in Spain and loved it. They said the bacon was just the same as what they experienced and they raved about it!! Almost no fat, delicious meat.
