No. 9 Gun Bore Cleaner

I weirdly like the smell of this stuff. It gets all grease & gunk off of components & makes cleaning so much easier & quicker. I suggest getting little cloth pads & Q-Tips that you can soak in this stuff & then wipe down what you need to clean. Please remember that you’ll need to regrease/lube whatever you cleaned off because this will absolutely take all of it off.

Excellent product. If you have own firearms you know the brand. It is exactly what you would expect. The value is better than what can be had at your local supply place. For reference, I have guns for the purpose of hunting and target shooting for pleasure. I am not a marksman, I do not compete, I do not own high end firearms. This review cannot speak to high-end equipment or marksman.

I use this to clean my 9mm, .45, 5.56, and .50 BMG. It’s easy to use and does its job extremely well.

I've got to tell you, I've used Hoppe's No. 9 for well over 50 years, and in my book, there's nothing better or more reliable, for properly cleaning any firearm. It cuts the crud and residue completely, lubes the bristles of your bore brushes, and leaves the gun fingerprint free. Scrub with No. 9, then follow up with a lightly oiled patch to leave the bore with a mirror shine every time. If you're a shooter, stop buying those little bottles & get serious about your gun maintenance. Highly Recommended!

Great products

There's a reason this stuff has been around almost 100 years. It works. The copper solvent by the same brand is more aggressive and works faster for heavy copper fouling, but I use this for most cleanings as that isn't always necessary. This stuff works and works well. I watch for sales and buy the big bottle when it drops down in price.

This cleaner is great. It seriously gets off carbon. My dad has a Glock 48 that had some carbon stains from years of use. Especially on the end of his grey slide and this stuff reversed the aging of his gun. Every time we go out and shoot and I clean it for him the gun looks newer than before. Totally removed the carbon from the slide. I have a Glock 20 and not only does the outside of the gun look like new still but so does the inside. The smell is pretty strong, but goes away quickly after the gun sits a bit. At that point you can only smell it if your nose is right up to the gun. It sucks when you get it on your hands. I usually clean on a towel and I’ve designated a towel for gun cleaning now because the first towel I used the smell didn’t come out in the wash so yeah. Cleans great though

When it comes to cleaning the bore of your gun, there is no better product in the galaxy than Hoppes. I challenge you to try this. Use whatever brand you’re currently using. Clean your gun as directed. Now, put on a clean patch saturated with Hoppes and run it through your barrel. You’ll scratch your head and say “Wait, I thought I just cleaned it!!” There’s just something magical about this stuff. It’s been in my gun cabinet for decades. Great stuff!
