Super Soft Baby Alpaca Wool Reversible Shawl Wrap Cape Bright Purple Color

Very soft and warm. I read other's reviews and yes I agree that the fibers are longer than a tight weave. It gives it that fall / winter look. The color is beautiful. I took off one star only because of the size. Not the fault of the manufacturer but I am a bit petite and I had to come up with some creative way of folding and wrapping before wearing. One size fits all does not always hold true.

The minute I opened up the package, I was so happy I had ordered this for myself! It's so soft that the first thing you want to do is hold it to your face (which I did!). After that I checked the edging because that's one of the things that scares me about buying a woven product like this without seeing it first. All the edges are clean and even. I didn't even find any issues with the short tassles on both ends of the shawl. The body of the shawl is nice and dense, while still being so light. You are not going to put your finger through this and, although I haven't done it yet, I think it will handle pins and brooches without compromising the material. The colors just can't be trying appreciated through an online photo...they are so rich. I wore this shawl out the very first evening I had it with a black dress and heel and can't tell you how many compliments I got on it. Best of all, the quality of this product is so good, I know I will be able to wear it for years...which makes me want to have one in every color!If you're a man looking for the perfect gift for a lady, don't look any further! This would make any girl smile. I'm also thinking that this is the perfect time to order these for Christmas.Again, can't say enough good things about this product and the nice people selling them.

I bought this for a trip to Mexico because I heard that it was chilly at night in the mountains. These keeps me SO warm. It is a bit rougher than pictured. The hairs are long and I wouldn't call it elegant. BUT - whenever I think that I might need a wrap of some sort this is the thing that I pick up. I have taken it camping,on an airplane as a blanket, thrown it over myself in bed when I need more cover; used it as a blanket while watching TV, wrapped around my shoulders while reading, to cover my legs at the office, etc. Great with jeans and a turtleneck. Maybe not so perfect with a gorgeous gown (although it would keep you warm!). I love, love, love this. If you are on the fence, buy it (unless you are going to the Oscars or something). You will find many, many uses for it. It is very light for how much warmth it gives. I am sure that I will wind up buying more colors at some point. Oh, as to color - it is a BRIGHT purple mixed with black. In the picture it looks muted. It isn't. Very happy that I have it.

To begin with, I received this item much more quickly than I anticipated and it's just gorgeous. I adore the little turtle pin that came with it.I just wore this to my daughter's outdoor wedding in late October in the Great Smokey Mountains in Tennessee. It was a cold weekend and everybody around me was shivering. I was wearing only a thin, sleeveless dress underneath the shawl and expected to be among them. This light and luxurious wrap kept me warm all evening when others were rushing back to their hotels for down jackets, sweat pants, and stocking hats. Everybody kept asking me if I wasn't cold...and I wasn't.Besides being warm, from the moment I showed up, everybody was ooohing and aaahing over my shawl. The rich purple colors (purple was my daughter's accent color) were just beautiful. Everyone wanted to know where they could buy one, which I hope will translate into some sales for this company, because I absolutely love mine, and wish I could afford one in every color. I needed something to keep from turning into a mother-of-the-groom popsicle at my son's wedding. The challenge was to look elegant but not be frozen. The wedding was in a gorgeous outdoor botanical garden an hour outside of Los Angeles in the end of April. I saw a review of this shawl from a mother of the bride who wore it at her daughter's wedding and that sold me. Everyone else was running for down jackets and she was elegant and toasty warm. Well ... this beautiful shawl kept me toasty warm too and saved me from looking like a dork! When you're at your child's wedding that is not the time to look unfashionable. All I can say is that I loved it. Beautiful shawl .. It looked great with my gown and was warm and wonderful. I know I will use it often and LOVE it.

Three weeks ago, I ordered the Extra 40% Off Super Soft Baby Alpaca Wool Reversible Shawl Wrap Cape sold and shipped by Great Gift idea Etc from Amazon. After I received it, I find its material is chemical fibers but not 100% pure natural alpaca wool as described on the Amazon internet and the label on them. The chemical products are not worth of so high price.And also, it is difficult to return it because you should make sure your returned stuffs can be received by Great Gift Ideas Etc (not in US, address is Suite 11-B, Ave Gonzalez N31-55 y Gonnessiat, Quito, Ecuador) within 30 days. Anyway, if you want to buy it, think it over!

I LOVE this shawl. It is super soft and warm. The purple color is nice and deep and exactly what I hoped it would be. I have been keeping this next to me on the couch and have been curling up with it in the cool mornings and evenings. I very much recommend it if you are looking for something warm and cozy. I have other pashminas that I wear regularly but this one my son (16) commented that this one looks too much like a blanket or robe. I don't agree with him and it is not going to stop me from wearing it like I do my others but I figured I would mention it so that you can use the info if you want.
