I looked around for months before deciding to go with Wahl. Im glad I did. I've been using the same base line Philips trimmer for nearly 10 years. The biggest difference with Wahl is the blades teeth are a finer, a lot closer together so I get cleaner, smoother lines around the edges of my entire goatee. It's also quieter than my old one. It has more weight so definitely better quality in construction. The rubber grid really does help with control. Comes with an ear/nose trimmer(which works very well) and a small precision trimmer with I dont use much. Plenty of combs of various lengths but I mainly use the adjustable head and the short comb for eyebrows. The power is plentiful and the blade sharp, no pulling and cut effortlessly. The bag is waterproof for the most part. Also, make sure you oil the blade once a month. Its a higher carbon blade so it can rust and dull. Comes with a tiny vial of oil but you can get more online.Now with all that said there are cons. Changing the heads can be a bit difficult. Taking it off is easy, putting on another can be a bit tricky. Takes a little practice but isnt terribly frustrating. The rubber grip is a bit sticky. It WILL get hair stuck to it. Dont try to clean it if your grip looks like Cousin Itt. Remove as much excess as you can by hand. Then clean it. I found that its easier to sprend water on the grip by hand, avoiding the power switch ofc, and then take a damp rag, wrap around the top, and pull down. It might take a few tries but it will take off the whiskers.Honestly I was worried if I would like this trimmer. But I love it. Its comfortable in my hand, not to long or bulky. The price is good for the quality. I'm definitely sticking with Wahl from now on.

This is a great kit! It's the exact same that I've had for about 18 years.(r.i.p)! I was thrilled to see they still make it! Included most of the same attachments and my old ones still fit the new model. This will probably outlast me!

Bought this product to replace the Wahl trimmer i bought 6 or 7 years ago, that I dropped one too many times. I like this one just as much.However, i deducted 1 star simply for the carry bag it comes with. The old bag was a compact, zippered bag that fit the trimmer and necessary attachments nicely which made it great for traveling. The new bag has a flap that is secured only with a sewn in elastic band. It just seems attachments could easily fall out if not secured well.

Product is just great , I’m replacing one just like it & had it for 10 yrs the old one finally quit. Trust the Whal brand 👍👍👍👍👍My problem with this order is that the delivery driver can’t follow directions was supposed to leave on back porch , left it on the front porch👎👎👎👎👎

This razor feels nice in the hand and works great for cleaning up wild hair by the ears as well as the back of my neck. The nostril attachment works pretty good too. For the price, it seems like high quality.

I primarily use a trimmer to trim/ shape facial hair and shave my head for a stubble look. Unfortunately, within the first couple minutes I knew I'd be returning this one.I could easily overlook some of the features it lacks at the $40 price, but the main reason I am going to return is because it snags and pulls my facial hair when using the stubble guard and left hair on my neck without the guard. Even the $18 Braun cordless trimmers seemed to cut better. Although I will say these run much quieter and smoother sounding. They performed better on shaving my head, but I had to grab different trimmers to finish my facial hair and neck. Because I travel, I only want to take 1 trimmer with me and I'm afraid this one won't make the cut. The $18 trimmers also seemed to cut a little closer without the guard.I didn't use any of the other attachments that came with the trimmer. I will say that the "10 Position Adjustable Guide 1-10" that is currently pictured in the kit was NOT included. Instead a 11-20 was included that isn't mentioned. I don't know if this is a change or just a mistake. If you have longer hair, this may be a better alternative. The non-adjustable guards fit tight and it took a bit to get it to fit the first time. Seems there are pros and cons to this. They won't fall off like some of the cheap plastic clips, but it also seems to push hair clippings under the blade.The ear/nose trimmer head seems especially cheap. It did not come with a wider T head that some reviews mention. The vinyl bag it comes in is thin and secured with an elastic strap. Wouldn't recommend if giving as a gift set. (Honestly a zip lock would be more secure.) The rubber grip on the body feels fine, but collects hair and isn't waterproof. Overall build quality isn't great, but it does have solid metal head (unlike the aforementioned $18 trimmers). But similar to the cheaper models, there is no battery charge indicator to know when it needs to be charged, when charging is complete, or even if it is charging or not. I did charge it for 1 hour prior to use as the instructions indicate, but I didn't even use long enough to test battery life.Overall, these $40 Wahl trimmers were pretty mediocre. It's more like a $15-20 entry level trimmer with a few accessories. For many it may work just fine and worth the cost, but I'm going to look for an alternative.

This works well but not as great for close cut beards, but good for trim.
