Great condition this will be a good reference guide

I'm a WWII Firearms Collector and this is the go to book for values. They've done a great job of delineating some of the nuances between the various makers, especially for P-38s. Pricing seems to be pretty close to actual selling prices on sites like Gun Broker. Also keeps you from spending too much when people are shooting for the moon selling a firearm. Tip: read the firearms condition guidance so you don't get ripped off when buying firearms, especially older firearms. Like any reference book, the Blue Book of Gun Values is one piece of the puzzle. There are plenty of other books published with specific details about firearms, so do your homework...read, read, read.

very thorough guide to all guns. My father had a very odd and old collection and every one of his guns was in this book. it goes beyond just listing the guns but also talks about what makes them good or bad and even a range depending on condition. this is s must have for all gun dealers, buyers and sellers. Knowing what the guns were worth ensured we didn't get ripped off when we went to sell them and helped us find trustworthy buyers.

We purchase this as a gift for my dad every time a new one is released. It was $10 cheaper on Amazon than directly through the website so that was a great benefit. This book is thorough and accurate and as an avid collector, my dad loves it. He uses it often and brings it with him to gun shows to help others not over/under pay as well. I'll be purchasing the next edition for his when it comes out!

I don't like to brag, but I consider myself to be very well versed in most gun collecting. The Blue Book delivers as usually. I buy it virtually every year to support them, even though the prices rarely change. However the Blue Book has been updating prices the past 3 years a good bit for the most part, which is good to see. Of course guns have really started moving upwards in that time frame too, some doubling or tripling in value on certain top examples... The reason I support this book so much is it is the go to book for ALL guns. The info is mostly rock solid and I love the years of availability which it gives on most models. If you are only going to buy one book for your gun collecting, this is BY FAR THE BEST to have. Nothing comes close, the one book which goes with me when I am going somewhere to look for pieces for my collection. Just remember though the prices are not set in stone, prices change up and down and this book only comes out once a year. Some prices are too high on certain things, way low on other things, and about right on others. There is nothing else which even comes close to the BB. 2nd is so far behind, there not even on the same lap. I compare it (as overall reference, and I stress overall) to Stihl chainsaws. There is Stihl and then there's the rest which aren't worth carrying home unless they are, well virtually free :)...

I bought this for my husband because his previous copy was 5 years old. He has a large collection. (How large? I'll let you guess.) This is an important resource for anyone contemplating gun purchases; it will also save the collector's heirs from getting cheated if, like me, you have trouble telling a Colt from a Smith & Wesson. Suggestion: have the collector tag each piece with little hang tags listing make and model and possible year of manufacture. It'll save newbies hours of research.

it is a must for anyone who is related to firearms (gun Smith, evaluator, collector etc)this book cover more than i could expect from a unique book. It is getting better and better and bigger !!!You cannot be deceive of this evaluation book 10/10

its agood book for finding out about gun prices andages of guns

This book provides a very good "ball park" value for most guns. An experienced firearms owner can make good use of it.

This is an excellent book on firearms. Having a limited knowledge, I found it informative but it's best value would be with someone who his a good understanding of the subtleties of guns, such as stocks, sights, etc. I was trying to place inherited guns for value purposes and found that there were so many models, and years of production, that you really had to be familiar with them to establish an accurate value. Used in combination with manufacturers websites helped a lot.
