Margarete Petersen Tarot Box Cards – January 1, 1872

This is a gorgeous deck, you tell that this was a work of pure devotion and love. The imagery is insightful and the interpretations are some of my favorite! This is now my go gift for those special people in my life.

This is as expected. I'm in U.S. So shipping was not very fast but faster than expected. This is the deck and the book and the cards have the white border. Box is not the lift top box that the no border edition comes in. Love this deck. Art is beautiful. Card stock is thin but does not feel flimsy, has a silky texture.

A great deck but not for those new to reading the Tarot. I refer this more of what I can an Art Deck meaning the artwork does not follow the usual Rider/Waite-Golden Dawn imagery which is usual the norm for so many tarot decks. The companion book gives unique interpretations of the cards...I love it..

The cards are outstandingly huge to much to shuffle comfortably. May want to size cards down by getting a border trimmer and cutting the borders off and rounding the corners.

Love this deck I think of it as my energy deck with all the color movement. This is one I like to meditate with.

Great deck, all around. Now understand what the rave was about.

Amazing art, nice card stock, and a good guide book.

The art is stellar....and abstract; but unfortunately too close to Rider Waite. Most readers will probably think that's a good thing, but too much of that shoehorns the intuition into realms it always defaults to.I thought this was going to be an ace-stellar deck that would really allow the intuition to soar, but I found myself dissapointed by it's limitations.

This deck is easy to shuffel, though it is rather large, but it is i believe for the benefit of the art work as it would be shame to miss any details. I bought it because of the rather abstract imagery of the cards that makes it easier to read the cards intuitively. There is a great number of concrete details layered in, mostly veiled by another layer of paint or other texture, so the deck is giving you any number of possibilities to interpret the cards. The booklet contains descriptions that are more than untraditional.

The deck is large but shuffles nicely, even with my tiny hands. The guidebook is poetic and goes perfectly with the beautiful card paintings. Very happy with my purchase. It came with an extra four of feathers card. Cool! There were 79 cards in the box, not 78.

Sono contenta di aver comprato questo mazzo di tarocchi. Veramente molto bello e immagini molto diverse e particolari da altri mazzi. Sono carte abbastanza grandi, circa 9,5 cm x 14 cm su un buon cartoncino. Le mani piccole come le mie possono avere qualche difficoltà nel usarle. Hanno un bordo grigio che a me non fa impazzire (un pò come tutti i bordi in genere) ma l'arte che risiede in queste carte è splendida. Sono immagini carismatiche e magnetiche, complesse e difficili come primo mazzo a cui approcciarsi ma affascinanti e sicuramente da collezionare. Il mazzo è accompagnato da un libricino di circa 78 pagine tutto solo in inglese, dove possiamo trovare l'interpretazione dell'artista. Il retro delle carte varia leggermente dal dritto al rovescio.
