Superb. INSTALLATION TIPS!
Excellent, very sturdy, some play with bar + bar bolts to fit space between studs. Read on for tips. I was a bit worried my stud gap wasnโt going to align with the bar length. Turns out, thereโs plenty of give in the bar screws to ensure a tight, sturdy, no wobble installation. I watched the video on the website, mostly helpful: https://studbarpullup.com/stud-bar-installation/#close All the tools I used + tips (see picture): -Ratchet kit (cheap from loweโs for like 25 bucks) -You only need socket size 14 millimeter for the stud screws and 16 millimeter for the bar. -Drill bit sized 3/16โ for pilot hole -drill to socket adapter (drill to 3/8โ for my socket set -Electric drill (to get stud screws started) I was fortunate to have an open ceiling to work with, so I could get the stud screws dead center on the stud for each hole. Follow the video for the most part, start one end, move to the others, pilot drill first 3/16โ, then stud screws. I drilled all the holes first using the ceiling mount as a guide, then I went back and started the stud screws with the e-drill. My drill here is very crappy so I ended up using the ratchet to finish tightening (Iโm normally a Milwaukee guy donโt worry). Video says not to use it but if you donโt rotate too far, you wonโt break the screws. Just do it enough so that theyโre secure, donโt over-tighten. Video was also correct, you want to keep the stud screws loose until you have inserted the bar. Thereโs a lot of play with the bar screws, maybe a combined 1 1/2 inch? So donโt worry if your studs are a little off. Iโd say anywhere (center stud to center stud) between 47 1/2 and 48 1/2 inches youโll probably be able to get a nice solid fit on the bar. Iโd even say you might be able to get away with 47-49โ! Anyway, very pleased with how it turned out. Just got 15 reps in, can confirm from a fairly experienced pull upper that this bar is excellent, sturdy, easy grip and high quality. Fully made of steel - shit isnโt going anywhere. I have the 8ft version and have about an 8 foot ceiling, by the way. Fits perfectly.

Sturdy, Easy to Install, and Backed by Outstanding Support!
I couldnโt be happier with my Stud Bar pull-up bar. From the moment I ordered, the customer service was top-notchโMark was responsive, helpful, and genuinely cared about making sure everything was right. He even added the mounting hardware directly to my Amazon order after I reached out. Installation was a breeze, even on engineered I-beams, and the bar itself is super sturdy. It feels rock solid and professionalโexactly what I was hoping for. This is a high-quality product from a great company with a great owner who stands behind what they sell. Highly recommended. Donโt hesitateโbuy it!

Super Sturdy Bar
Ordered this bar based on the Amazon reviews, a recommendation from a friend, and the fact that I just wanted a straight, sturdy bar with no gimmicks. Got the delivery quickly. Came in simple packaging without those useless tools that never work anyway. My trusses are 24 inches apart so the install was simple. I just made my own template with a length of cardboard, made the marks, double checked my marks with the stud finder, and drilled the pilot holes with a 1/8 bit. I greased up the bolts with vaseline and drove them in with a socket. I had no issues with the bolts snapping like some others had. I just eased the bolts in a little at a time. I attached the bar BEFORE snugging the support braces in. Everything sent seamlessly and I did a few pull-ups right away (as I'm sure you all did). This bar is awesome. It even came with a note in the box with a number to text or email if you had any issues during the install. Oh, and I did the install by myself in about an hour (mostly because I'm super OCD about measurements). If you want a quality bar at a fair price, look no further. Highly recommended. Thanks Mark!

Extremely versatile and strong
I grew sick of my doorway pull-up bar being in the way and too short to do all the things I wanted. So I set out and researched a lot of stud mounted pull-up bars from all the various crossfit capable bars from titan, rogue, etc. before deciding on the studbar for a few reasons. Not only was the studbar the perfect dimensions (bar thickness is perfect, bar length is perfect, reviews were perfect not just on amazon but from youtube channels I follow of functional fitness instructors who recommended the studbar) and best of all I can get it on Amazon Prime quick and free shipping. I also love how the studbar website has a lot of videos with tips with to install and use it. The company also answers your questions right away through e-mail and they are located in San Diego. I've had the pull up bar for 3 weeks and used it every day with no issues. I installed it in my home office on 10 ft ceilings so I would be encouraged to use it all the time, even when it's too hot or too cold in my garage. I decided to wall-mount the pull-up bar because my ceiling studs were facing the wrong direction for where I wanted to hang it to have room to do things like leg lifts and attach exercise bands to it. While it's still typically slightly better to install it on the ceiling, I've had no issues with this bar being wall mounted. I simply got the standard size one for 9 foot ceilings (even though I have 10') because I'm 6ft tall and wanted to hang it higher up on the wall (I hung it at 94" so I have to jump up a couple of inches to get up on it, and so things hanging off of it wouldn't hang to low. I love it this way. It sticks out 22" from the wall which is plenty of space to hang from it from the opposite direction to do leg raises. I'm very satisfied with the bar and only wish I had got it sooner.

Great Bar, Not Necessarily Super Easy to Ceiling-Mount
Overall I think for the money this is an incredible pull up bar. I think with one person installing it on the ceiling in the garage like I did having some sort of paper or cardboard cut out knowing where to make the holes would make life a lot easier. Also one thing to note is that depending on how they built your garage ceiling, which I found out my joists (joist is a stud but in the ceiling) are not at 16 inches or 24 inches as is supposedly standard, but rather 19 inches and so I couldnโt mount this pull up bar easily. Trying to be logical I thought I could rotate the bar 90 degrees to mount it that way, but turning on the ceiling 90 degrees the other way there were no joists within 4 feet so it depends on how the builders built your garage ceiling structurally. Anyways, my resolution was drilling four, 5-foot 2x4s to the 19โ ceiling joists, and then mounting the pull up bar sections to those boards. It is sturdy and Iโve used it a decent amount. The bolts included with it seemed just fine (I read complaints about some people having issue). Hope that helps.

Very sturdy. Still bad/inconsistent mounting hardware. Might require additional hardware to mount.
I opted for the tallest one as my garage ceiling is almost 10 feet. I ended up cutting off the bottom mounting holes with an angle grinder as it was just too low; especially after having to add wood adapters (pictured). My joists were, unfortunately, only 45" (instead of 48"); so mounting directly to them was a no-go. It would be nice if this kit could accommodate this as it seems to be quite a common issue. The longer set of lag bolts that came with it were two different sizes with two different heads. It's unbelievable after all the complaining about the hardware on these reviews that the owner/manufacturer has not yet addressed this issue. As with others, I ended up buying my own from my local hardware store. The product feels extremely sturdy once mounted and the material is solid. I have no issues with gripping the bar myself, but I'm also not prone to sweating so It feels perfect to me. Between trips to the hardware store, cutting wood, cutting the vertical metal mounts, drilling pilot holes, measuring a million times, etc. it took me 3-4 hours from start to finish. If my joists were 48" and the bar was the right height, it probably would have take an hour or so.

Awesome pull up bar and FANTASTIC customer service
I couldn't be happier with the experience I had with every step of the Stud Bar purchase, customer service, installation and ultimately USE! When I purchased my Stud Bar I realized that it was a little too big for my garage ceiling (I ordered a large and my ceiling is around 9.5 feet). Ironically my next door neighbor just purchased a large one as well but it hadn't shipped yet. It is very rare that in your Amazon box you get a personal note from the small business owner, but in this case Mark included a note that said if you need anything call him personally. Low and behold I called the number, talked to Mark, and he switched out the large for a medium and shipped it to my neighbor. I gave my neighbor the large and I installed the medium once it came to his house. It was PERFECT! I wish more small businesses would include personal contact info when you buy their product through Amazon. It made the entire experience great. My garage didn't have 48' between studs, so we installed some 2/4's to make sure it was sturdy. Now that it is installed it works great! I can't do muscle ups on the medium size (because of my height, I am 5'11''), but I have already done T2B, C2B, strict and kipping pull ups. Perfect for any athlete but especially a CrossFitter training for the Open, Murph, or wanting to get better. And if I need to practice muscle ups I can just go next door and work on my neighbor's large model. Living in Columbus, Ohio, the Rogue headquarters is here so it would have been easy to get a Rogue bar which I'm sure is another great product. But I couldn't be happier with the Stud Bar and supporting a small business. Thank you Stud Bar!

Amazing Quality.
Man does this product deliver. I am in love with my Stud bar. I wanted a large bar because I have as a goal to be able to do muscle ups eventually. The finish and quality of the bar is first class. My garage is a standard 8 ft ceiling which is not high enough for the large bar but I had a spot a little bit over 10ft where the a/c handler hangs from. Unfortunately, I could not hang it from the ceiling trusses as the A/C handler was taking that space but I went perpendicular to the trusses with 2X4 that I screw to 3 trusses and then attached the bar frames to them. On the other side from the roof I sandwiched the drywall with more two by fours. It isn't going any where. It is solid. I know there is cheaper bars out there but this one is worth the price. No more going to the park to do my workouts and I won't have to cancel workouts due to rain. On a side note because of my setup I didn't use any of the hardware included except for the two bolts that secure the bar. I bought 8 bolts (5/16 by 51/2), 16 washers and 8 locking log nuts at the hardware store for $20. I can't say it too many times, Amazing product. Thank you Mark.
