Great Cover, But NOT Adequate For Any Recliner as maker/Amazon ad claims.
Seems like Nice Fabric that lays flat, doesn't bunch up, and with their (unique...so far...) backing appears to stay in place. Only problem I have with this product is that they advertise it to fit a Recliner, but it does Not fit that application at all, because the back cover length is far too short to work with any recliner I've seen in the last 8 years. They should make a model that has a 24'' Wide x at least 78'' Long center section, with 6'' long tuck-in/fasten-in wings made of strong material at rear and two sides of the seat area. Two SEPARATE Arm Covers at least 20'' x 20'' should be included. All surface pieces should be backed with the son-slip material. (An extra 4'' strip at the rear of the seat section designed to be stuffed into the upright recliner seat-back to allow for expansion when the Recliner is moved back to fully reclined position would add a feature that all other cover makers/sellers seem to have ignored so far, which makes ALL recliner covers creep down the back toward the seat over time, or begin to weaken in the area seat and back meet, due to the constant need to stretch and contract between upright and reclined positions.

Finally a Good NON-SLIP Furniture Cover for Pet Owners with Recliners!
I just received the Sofa Protector and the Matching Recliner Cover, so I can't speak for how it will hold up after longtime use, but here are my first impressions. (My loveable 12-year-old cat had recently had her first urinary accident, and I am hoping this will be absorbent enough to absorb any possible future problems resulting from kidney disorder. Tips and advice welcome.)• PROS: So far, I am quite pleased with this purchase. Love the anti-slip backing! Good choice of neutral colors. The microsuede fabric is soft, comfortable and attractive. I have a Reclining Sofa and Reclining Chair, and this product has a much better overhang over the back, compared to other similar products I have tried in the past. And I think the price is fairly reasonable when compared to other similar products of lesser quality. On my matching La-Z-Boy Reclining Sofa and Reclining Chair, there is approximately 6-8" of overhang on the arms and back of the cover, which is decent, although I'd be even happier if there was another inch or two of overhang. It would be great if there was a version made especially for Reclining Sofas. (Hey, we La-Z-Boy pet owners are a severely under-served market, guys, just waiting to spend our money!) One other thing to be aware of: The photo makes it look like the fabric is totally flat, but there is a bit of a quilting in 3" squares, which is barely noticeable, and it probably adds to its water-resistant qualities.• CONS: So far, no major Cons. I do wish the part that goes over the back of the La-Z-Boy sofa was a bit wider, as there is a gap at each end which concerns me with a sick cat in the house (starting to have age-related kidney/incontinence issues).• A SIDE NOTE: Another company, SureFit, has recently come out with a similar pet-friendly product that has a non-slip backing in the shape of little paw-prints. So far I have only seen it on their website. They call it "Deep Pile Velvet Sofa Furniture Cover (43483)," and it's a lot more expensive than this product by GPD – approximately twice as much, in fact. (Approx. $120 for SureFit Sofa Cover vs. $55 for this one from G.P.D.) The SureFit version has pockets on the flaps for remotes and such, and it comes in 5 colors, plus they just started offering a reversible Blue Denim/Sherpa version which looks a bit thicker and may therefore be possibly more absorbent. So I may try the SureFit version, too, and switch back and forth when one of them is in the laundry.• A HEARTFELT *PLEA* TO THE FURNITURE COVER INDUSTRY: Please remember that there are a lot of PET OWNERS out there who own RECLINING SOFAS and RECLINER CHAIRS. We need more NON-SLIP, moisture-absorbing furniture covers that go over the top of the furniture with enough overhang to help keep them in pace. Also, you should offer SMALLER MATCHING NON-SLIP PADS (about 20" square) which could be placed in spots that the pet likes to lay down and which would be therefore easier to grab wash frequently. Also, sometimes the furniture cover isn't quite wide enough to cover the entire top of the sofa, and the customer could purchase additional smaller matching non-slip pads to fit any spots that the main cover misses.• IDEA for other owners of Pets with Incontinence or Shedding Issues: I may decide to buy a second cover from GPD and get out my sewing machine. I could cut up the extra cover to make a couple of extensions for the portion of the recliner that isn't covered. And I'm thinking that maybe I will take whatever is left and make those 20" square pads I mentioned and place them in the cat's favorite spots. Maybe I could also take whatever is left over and make ROUND PADS to fit inside the cat's beds. They would be easier to take out and clean, rather than having to wash the entire cat bed.

Way too proud marketing
I purchased this cover six months ago. I waited to comment on its wear. The marketing comment: "Anti-slip backing significantly cuts down on slippage" is not accurate. That claim should be qualified to the material it is covering. It may work over cloth or suede; but, definitely will slip when covering leather. It is as effective a cover as the bath towels I used prior to its purchase.I have washed the cover maybe least six times in a delicate cycle then low heat dry. The 'anti-slip' material, similar to that found on some area rugs, is shedding even from wash one. I find little pieces of it near the loveseat it covers. I provide a photo of an ice chest near this cover that I neglected to clean of the anti-slip fell off / shedding material. Unfortunately, the material does attract and retain dog hair too.On the other hand (for 3 stars) , I find the cover a better fit, a less unobtrusive color, and thicker material than my beach towels. I wouldn't buy another however.Tip if your cover is slipping too: Hang a rice bag over the top of your cover. The added weight helps to keep it from slipping. Too bad the marketing folks have seemingly little experiential knowledge of this product. They might have asked for the addition of simple loops on the top so a bungee cord or something customer-supplied might keep it from slipping back towards the seat.

Protective Chair Covers
My recliner chair is a fabric covered model and the anti slip rubberized back is a big plus in keeping the cover in place. However, the part covering the chair back is too short for my chair back, and the cover constantly pulls off from normal chair use. This problem was easily fixed by attaching the end of the back cover directly to the chair using small spiral upholstery screw pins. My chair back is 32" high, but highly cushioned. and uses up a lot of the cover material just to go over the upholstery. This shortened back cover material shifts and pulls off the chair back during use. If the covering over the chair back were 5" - 6" longer it may have stayed in place without the need for pins.I also used this cover to experimentally check another leather club chair in my den. The rubberized backing on the cover did little to control shifting or moving, even though the chair back is shorter - 30", and has a much more modern and trimmer character than the fabric recliner. Leatherfurniture may do better using form fitting covers, than these one piece, gravity fit only covers.
