Irish Harp Mug

I was surprised these would be shipped all the way from Ireland, expected them to arrive at the end of March.. but arrived 03/16 a whole two weeks, and couple of days ahead of Irish Day!.. Delivered via DHL. You get discount if you buy 3 mugs, and shipping was unbelievably affordable (less than 10 dollars for all 3). Best gift at best price I got this year so far. They are exactly what I expected from Irish.. Just beautiful! I bought 3, one with Harp, one with Shamrock, and one with Irish Prayer. They were carefully packaged in bubble pack, (probably 50 feet of it :)) Beautiful workmanship. Irish motives all around. I thought they would be all in same size, but are not. Similar Celtic ribbon alike design carry in all 3. All 3 are in different size. The Harp one shorter but wide(4.5" tall), Shamrock slightly taller, 4.5" tall, and Prayer one is the tallest @ 5".Light, porcelain weight, doesn't make it heavy in your hand when you fill it a cup of coffee or tea. Comfortable handles. All of them are dishwasher and microwave safe.. They have a gift tag with a green ribbon.. They would make great gift for yourself or your friends, whether they are Irish or not. You will enjoy the workmanship, as well as sipping your favorite hot drink out of these beautiful mugs.

My late husband was 100 percent Irish, so I would get a small gift each St Patrick's Day for him and my daughter. I purchased a mug made by the same company with the Claddaugh symbol. I chose this one for her fiancée. These mugs are well designed, well made, but most of all stunning. They come in a variety of Irish designs and the colors are rich and beautiful. I got this for myself and loved it. Then I got one for my sister. She loves it. Colors are bright. Coffee tastes great in it. (Irish coffee, too.) Good size. Shipping was quick and it makes a nice and affordable gift.

While beautiful and evocative of dear wonderful Ireland, this product, while being dishwasher safe, is NOT safe from discoloration due to slight burning beneath the writing and the pictures...ruining the initial appearance. If one is "philosophical" about this, the burning beneath the design could be artistically interpreted as aging parchment...BUT, one would be wise NOT to put this mug into any microwave oven, even at a low power.

A gift certificate from Amazon went to pay for this lovely mug with pretty harps on the front and back. It holds a good size cup of tea and is very comfortable to hold by the handle. I play a harp like the one pictured, so I just love it.

I bought a pair of these bone china mugs as an engagement present for my daughter and her fiance. Since they became engaged in Ireland, I found these to be a perfect remembrance of a memorable time. The mugs are beautifully painted with bright, but not garish, colors. I loved the symbolism of the Irish harp and so did the couple who received these mugs.

I first purchased this mug from an Irish gift shop in Annapolis, MD. I bought it as a gift for my husband. I ended up using it more often than he did and it became my favorite, everyday tea mug. Recently it chipped after years of use. I was able to purchase another from Amazon at a better price I might add. I am thrilled to have my favorite mug again. It's made beautifully and holds a nice amount of tea or coffee. Additionally, it's not too heavy for me to hold and it feels good in my hands (mom with weak morning hands).
