A Model and a Murder
Perry, Paul and Della are at it again in this wonderful mystery. This time, Perry and Della run into a beautiful young woman who is attempting to gain 10 pounds for a modeling contract. The terms of the contract are suspicious and. Perry is on the move. Of course, the writer of the contract, who attempted blackmail, is murdered and. Perry's client blamed. Before the plot comes together, murder, blackmail, bigamy and assorted other crimes will come into play. Of course, all comes out right in the end and Perry's client is exonerated. This mystery is in Erle Gardner's best tradition and it's well worth reading.

Good quick read laden with typos
This won't rock your world, but it is a nice light read for a murder mystery fan, especially one who is already a fan of the series. Downside is that the Kindle version I read is slathered with typos, enough that they do interfere with the enjoyment of the story by jerking the reader out of being immersed. I'd have rated it four stars without the typos.

The blonde bonanza
I enjoy the way the story weaves the story around each of the suspects in the murder of the black mailing suspect. Each one has a reason for killing him. It not until Perry Mason bring out the notebook from the Private detective and the entries that were made in his notebook that were different from the other entries that the truth came. Then and only then was the real killer was caught.

This was fantastic, as was expected
This was fantastic, as was expected! All of Erle Stanley Gardner’s books are fabulous as well as intriguing! Love everything he has ever written - and this is the opinion of my husband and father as well.

Perfect as always
You gotta love Perry Mason. He has always been the best! Wish I could hire a real one just like him. He always knows the right thing to do and he always wins. He’s my hero.

TYPO CITY!
This story might accurately be depicted as early Erle. The plot is true to form Perry Mason. However, all similarity falls apart in this Kindle rendition. The volume is replete with typos, some of which confuse the storyline. After numerous attempts I gave up submitting errors time and time again. I purchased this item on December 20, 2014 for $1.99. To my chagrin it's currently listed at $5.99. Hmmm.

Love Perry Mason stories.

Good Entertainment
As with about 100% of Gardner's Perry Mason books, this provides a couple hours of face-paced, entertaining reading. My only quibble is that one crucial clue to the solution of the murder is not shared with the reader until virtually the last minute. That doesn't stop me from recommending the book to Perry Mason fans.
