I have looking for something like this to cover a 2" gap at the bottom of my garage door.Every autumn I think all the leaves from every tree in my neighbourhood get blown into my garage.. and I haven't a single tree in my garden myself, so VERY annoying.I came across this 'by accident' whilst I was browsing on Amazon, and thought this is EXACTLY what I need.It comes with the 7' aluminium support in 2 x 3.5' lengths, easier for the carrier and easier to install too.Included as well are 2 drills, one is for a clearance hole in the aluminium and the other is for a pilot hole for the 8 screws provided.. so everything is provided for you.You can fit the Aluminium strips to either the front of the garage door or to the back of it, I personally fitted it to the back as I thought it would look a lot neater.You need to cut the aluminium strips to the width of the door, by taking the same amount off 3.5" length, so the join is in the centre of the door.. it lust looks neater that way.After you have fitted the two strips on it is just a matter of feeding the rubber though the slot at the top, and then cut any excess rubber off (Stanley knife, or like I did with a good sharp pair of scissors) but I also decided I would put a small dab of Copydex on the ends just to make sure it didn't move.There is a little "Tips" leaflet included and that is well worth reading too before fitting this, but as they state every door is different as well so slight modification may be needed to how you fit this to your door !That's about it really, it is a quick, simple DIY job, which will save me hours sweeping leaves out fron the inside of my garage !

I had rainwater coming in to the garage through a 1cm gap below my garage door. After stuffing plastic bags in the gap, I decided a more permanent solution was called for. I did a lot of searching online for an excluder and settled on this. The rubber strip seemed to be much wider than needed but I thought I would trim that down. The metal strip was relatively easy to fit considering I did it with the door open so did it upsidedown. The drill bit that came with the pack was not suitable for the self-tapering screws included. It was a bit of a struggle until I got a slightly wider bore drill bit then it was plain sailing. I slid in the rubber excluder to see how much to trim but found the door opened and shut well so didn't need to cut off any. It has certainly stopped water ingress to the garage. Lockdown job #47 done!

Everything provided, drill bits and screws, helpful advice on fitting, but I drilled the bottom of the door and this aluminium holder for the rubber seal and used pop rivets. Only dropped a star as I would have preferred it in one continuous piece rather than two but understand that shipping would be more difficult.

I have a fibre glass electric up and over door which has for 30 odd years has a gap under it approx 3/4" on one side and 1 1/4" the other.This item has a very wide rubber strip which easily covered the gap.It comes with 2 drill bits and 8 screws.If I can work my way around getting it fixed to the door, then anyone can.It really stops the draft... recommended

Absolutely perfect, I purchased this to stop old leafs blowing under the door, plus other general items.It’s very easy to install, and can be cut to any size, it’s a high quality product, and would most definitely purchase one again.

a little bit finicky to fit, but once I painted it to match the garage door, I really like how it looks, And it works perfectly.

Complete with drill bits and screws. Took a couple of hours to fit two 7 foot garage doors. I used pop-rivets in place of the supplied screws, but the screws looked fine.Certainly provides a good seal at the bottom of the doors.Only minor issue is that the metal channel is supplied in only 3.5 foot lengths, so there is a join in the middle of each door.

Very easy to install it’s a pity it came in 2 pieces would have been easier if it was one strip.
