Better than Original Cylinder
Cheapish home office chair gas cylinder started failing recently and would slowly drop down over the course of my work day. I purposely bought this slightly longer replacement after some measurements, and it exactly meets my requirements. The lowest setting is virtually identical to the original tube so the chair still can be pushed completely under the desk, but the new tube extends higher as I sometimes require for certain tasks. It feels sturdy and well made, with smooth adjustment movement unlike the original tube. Hardest thing was getting the old tube separated from the chair, but I already knew that would be a nightmare from a previous kitchen stool replacement.
