When the Geri curl premanent first came out when I was a teen I was grateful because hair rollers gave me really bad headaches. Actually anything on my head gave me headaches even those thin nylon see through scarves. So not having to wear hair rollers and being able to keep curls for longer than half a day was miraculously. The only problem was the burnd you could get from the premanents, the number of products to keep hair moisturized and boost curls and the price of the getting your hair done. There was an occasion where I just did not have the money to get my hair done so I tried just using the oily curl boosting gel/spray and yippee it curl my hair without the premanent. My hair and scalp is tricky; I am allergic to a lot of ingredients. I have found some wonderful curl activators but items like from some plants will cause sores. The best product that was ever invented was called "Curl and Body", the whole line had that name. What made their activator different was they had mink oil in it. It was a red gel. Unfortunately after 10 years the company went away. So I have been searching, this is a good replacement, except it needs more moisturizer. I have actually bought mink oil and added to it.

Anyone that has wavy and curly hair. I highly recommend this product. A little goes a long way and my curls never looked better.
