Smells pretty good, non-greasy, effective and doesn't dry your skin out (although rinsing it off before applying other lotions, make-up, etc. highly recommended. Still, if you are going to be in mosquito "land" especially in early morning or late afternoon, you need this! Don't tell yourself that you don't. WNV hospitalizes and kills people--even if less so that other infections. Don't take a chance.

I purchased this repellent mainly to use when golfing, but I also use it when setting on my deck at night and the bugs are not real bad. It is not the best bug repellent you can get for sure, but it does not leave you feeling all sticky and smelling like, well...bug repellent.Being a pump sprayer it is not real easy to get some areas with it that required it to be held upside down, but you can spray it on your hands and spread it that way. Which brings me to my main point and the reason I like this stuff so much - it does not leave you feeling all sticky like a lot of other repellents do. So if I am golfing and need to use it and spread some with my hands, I can still grip the club and not feel like I am sticking to the grip or worse yet, not able to get a good grip.It has a very light smell - it is by no means pleasant, but it is not a strong disgusting smell either. It strikes just the right balance in effectiveness, odor and amount of residual residue - for lack of a better phrase. For these same reasons I think it would be good to use with children and pets as well. It's also a good size and shape container so it can be easily handled using my big hands or someone with normal size hands too.If you are looking for a strong bug repellent to use for going into the woods on a hot humid, damp evening, well this is probably not the right product. However, if your needs are similar to how I use it, then I can recommend it without hesitation.

Some of the best bug juice on the market. I just went through a bottle of this stuff in Alaska where the mosquito is their state bird. Not even a nibble. I’ve been using it since I was a kid and it’s always my go to. No harsh scent, gentle on the skin, and long lasting repellant.

It is sad that I buy a 12 pack of this yearly but it is the only one that has a decent scent , is light and not greasy feeling and WORKS. I keep it in my cart and watch for sale alerts.

I've been using Cutter insect repellent for the last few seasons. I work at an outdoor concert venue located inside of a park and this has kept me bite free all summer. I love how it doesn't feel greasy on the skin and it smells nice too.

Best bug spray...love the smell too

Overall this stuff works good I know from using it in the past. The smell is not overpowering it smells more like a mild sunscreen than the typical chemical bug spray smell, which I can appreciate. I am disappointed in the fact that Amazon did not package this properly and a good amount spilled out during transit. Seems like this was previously sprayed prior to me receiving the product. The way to prevent this product from spilling in the first place is by NOT activating or engaging the sprayer nozzle on the product until it arrives at its permanent destination. With that being said before purchasing this beware that once you spray this bug spray you cannot take this product with you to places that you will most likely need it because unfortunately, the lid will not keep this product from leaking out everywhere.
