Not just for hands! Glycerin is a wonderful humectant for all skin.
This is my all-time favorite moisturizer, a fantastic product. It’s marketed as a “hand cream”, but I dilute it with water and use it all over my body. Its main ingredient is glycerine, a humectant that pulls moisture into the skin. When diluted to a watery consistency, glycerin is non-comedogenic (ie, it doesn’t clog pores). The non-scented version of Neutrogena Hand Cream doesn’t cause an allergic reaction in me, while many scented products do.Neutrogena Hand Cream is so concentrated that a tiny dab goes a long way. A glob smaller than a dime will moisturize my entire body after being diluted. Here is how I use it:Lips - No dilution. Works much better than Chapstick!Eyelids - Dilute a BB-sized dab with a drop of water, just enough to make it spread easily.Face - Dilute with water, drop by drop, until watery. Moisturizes skin without blocking pores or causing acne.Rest of body - Dilute with water until runny. I use it almost everywhere.

The Best Hand Cream
I have been using Neutrogena for years and found it to be the best for my chapped and dry hands. When I could not find it in the stores, I ordered it from Amazon.

I've been using this since 1973 - can't be beat.
I've been using this since I was in high school. A tube was included in a sample of beauty products I got after sending in a coupon from some teen magazine. This is not the usual hand moisturizing lotion cream. Those smell nice and feel good when you put them on, but there is no residual effect on the skin. I use Neutrogena in the morning and again at night, and it keeps my hands soft. It also keeps my nails stronger and cuticles from being dry and rough. It actually makes my skin look younger. Year ago, I noticed that the skin on my forearms wasn't as soft or young looking as the skin on my hands. I started applying a little more than before, and bring it up at lest over my wrists. DO NOT apply a lot of this hand cream. It is thick, and almost waxy (not greasy). Apply just a small around - maybe a dab about the size of your thumb nail, and rub thoroughly into both hands. Add more if you need to. It may seem a little heavy at first. Just work it into the skin, and go about your business. The skin will absorb it and will be left feeling soft and smooth. You may notice it takes a few days to start seeing a difference, but it does work.If you're a law student, don't put a glob of this on your hands just as you go in to hand write a final exam. When my husband was in law school in the 1980s, he did just that and told me the pen was practically sliding out of his already sweaty (nerves!) palms. In other words, I don't use this just before I do fine detail work (sewing, crochet, target shooting). If I put it on just before I leave for work, and again when I go to bed, that's fine.Don't use it on your face -- this is for hands.

Great for higher climates
This product glides on nicely. Perfect for the winter time! I live in the dry air with high elevation in the Rockies and it really helps keep my hands moisturized. Not greasy and I like that it doesn't have a fragrance.

Miracle in a Squeeze-Tube
This hand cream is phenomenal. I have struggled for years to find a hand cream that would do three very important things:1. Moisturize and heal the dry, cracked skin on my hands when they get really bad (usually in winter);2. Leave my skin without irritation. This one is hard. Most creams, even the ones for “sensitive skin” have fragrances or formulas that leave my skin with an itchy or burning feeling.3. Have a mild enough scent that it won’t trigger any migraines. Scents are my worst migraine trigger and even “fragrance free” lotions and creams can still sometimes have a “strong” enough odor to them to start causing me pain after a while.I put this cream on my hands before I go to sleep, while I’m sitting at my desk in my office, while I’m out and about, etc. and it. just. works! A little bit truly does go a long way. I hope Neutrogena never discontinues this cream. It’s a miracle in a squeeze-tube.

Good lotion but formula has changed.
I have used the Norwegian Formula hand cream for years now and love it. It heals my dry cracked skin on my hands quickly and I also use it on cuts and scraped to heal them quickly with minimal scarring. However, I was disappointed to see that they have changed their formula. The new formula did seem a little less greasy and absorbed a little faster, so that is a plus, but only time will tell if it heals as well as the old formula

I never ever liked using hand creams
I never ever liked using hand creams, as I feel like I dipped my hands in a bag of chips, and did not wash afterwards. The oily sensation hand creams give made me not use any hand cream, even when my hands were bleeding of cold weather caused cracks. What I did was putting a cream for 5 minutes, and washing my hands right after that.I do not know how, but I tried this cream once. In less than 5 minutes -not exaggerating- they were much better. And the cream was completely infused and gone, so I did not had to wash my hands. If you are like me, who hates hand creams, but have to do something, try this one. What I do is, I put a bit on top of my hands, and spread the cream with my index finger. So no cream in palms :)Another tip is, what a dermatologist told me, and really works:1. Stay away from liquid and foam soaps. Use bars , of course except in public restrooms :)2. Do not use colored soaps.Quoting from doctor " Never use liquid soaps, do not use colored soaps. If you can afford, use Dove, if not use plain white soap with no color and no fragrance". You might want to keep in mind ;)
