Fantastic addition to the Biff & Chip series
These stories are simpler than the stories in the 'Read at home' series, but they concentrate on certain phonic sounds (eg oo, ai,ee) and the repetition really helps to embed the learning for the child. As the stories are simpler they are also easy for the child to read by themselves and thereby increase their confidence. As usual for Biff, Chip & co, the stories are also fun. My 4 year old is really enjoying reading them and I'm sure they will stand him in good stead for starting school in a few months time. There are good tips in each book for facilitating learning and getting the most out of the books. Highly recommend. Will be getting the next level books before too long.

Great books to read at home
I bought these books for my son to help him with his reading (he is 5 years old). He really enjoyed this set, especially The Moon Jet book. Because this is the same type of books they are using in his school, he felt comfortable seeing all the same characters and excited to read their new adventures. Would highly recommend!

Oxford Reading Tree
Overall, these books are very educational. you can purchase these books as a set of six or individually The illustrations are very good and the text is clear and easy to read. Each book is story based and allows for word recognition and language comprehension. It also introduces up to six new words to practice. The books are short and the stories are good.

Well Worth the Money
These books may seem expensive but we have bought lots of them to help our daughter with her reading and they are excellent. We got these stage 3 books when she was five and have continued to buy stage 4 to 6 now she is six. They use the Oxford Reading Tree series at her school and these books complemented that brilliantly, as she was familiar with all the characters and the layout. These books are specifically to use at home so that meant we weren't replicating what she was doing at school just complementing it. Each book has a guide at the beginning to help the person reading with the child; it explains the words being concentrated on and how to work through the story asking questions etc. Each page has big cartoon pictures that clearly show the story and then a few sentences underneath. At the end of the book there are some other activities to reinforce the main words. Well worth the money.

Great books to increase early reader confidence
My little girl has just finished her reception year at school and I bought this pack for reading practice over the Summer holidays. She does read ORT books at school. Whilst I wasn't sure she'd be too interested, she has really enjoyed these books and has gained confidence in both phonetically spelt words and those you just have to memorise. We have read them all, and she loves the jokes and funny endings these stories tend to have. I will be buying more!
