Excellent STEM toy for boys or girls!
These are great! Our 3 year old grandson loves building and turning the gears, he's even specific what color gear needs to go where on it. With some help we've had multiple towers going with the gears on the base. He now adds Magna Tiles as buildings over some of them. His 6 year old sister is having fun with it too. Excellent STEM product without them realizing they are learning.

Pretty Neat, But...
I love toys that are both fun and educational. I have a very high-energy, curious, mechanically inclined little boy (3 1/2 years old). He has always been fascinated with how things "work" and I thought this toy would make an excellent Christmas present. Right out of the box, he understand how it worked and that by interlocking the gears he could create one interconnected gear system. He needed a little help with the vertical pieces from mom and dad, but otherwise it was right at his learning level. I would love to give the toy 5 stars, but I found that he tired of it after a short while. He doesn't have a short attention span...I think he just needed more out of the toy. If your kid is the type that is mesmerized by moving parts, or can stare at a moving object for a long time in a trance, this will probably be right up their alley. I've learned over the years that my son is fascinated by mechanical toys, but that he needs an objective - he needs the toy to have some "point" or "end goal" or it won't hold his attention. I might look into buying one of the expansion kits down the road. Overall, I think it's a pretty good toy.

Gift to keep the grand kids busy
They all loved these. The kids are aged 2, 4, and 6. They are were able to play and create things without any adult help. I think these will be a favorite for years. Would definitely buy again.

Very good product keep kid engaged and creative
This is really good product, kids do use their imagination and build a working product with does operate like a machine. Keeps kids engaged for long duration and they feel sense of accomplishment when all these connected wheels work.

Easy enough for toddlers, interesting enough for older kids
This toy is wonderful. The plastic is thick so the pieces aren’t going to break. The pieces are big so there isn’t a choking hazard. There are so many gears that you can spend hours creating complex designs. My two year old understood immediately how to turn the handle to make the gears spin, and she loved watching the gears move in different directions on the design I built. As she grows, she’ll figure out how to add gears and towers herself. This toy will be engaging for her for years to come.
