I've looked all over the blade & handle (where surface is visible) as well as the sheath as much as I was able without damaging the sheath by pulling on something I shouldn't. I tried for a good while and still cannot find a "maker's" anywhere on it. But if we make a fair judgment based on the blade's material, it's entire/overall weight, and better-yet... our experience using the one we purchased several months back for some heavy-duty yard work, I'm ok with recommending it still. Cleared several trees (8 ft & under) and shrubs around the yard...even hit cement more times than we can count. Several months later, it's a little dinged... but nothing that can't be sharpened away if in the hands of someone with experience to do so. I'd be surprised if this machete came from the same place as some of my cheap "made in China" knives.
