Great printer, makes everything easy.
I first bought the Samsung wireless laser printer for under $100, as the reviews said, it never worked wirelessly after the first print. I returned it for this beauty. The setup was incredibly easy, plug it in, download the software from the disc, and your ready... in all about 5 minutes. Some reviews said it was loud and the fan stays on... the printer is no louder than any other printer and all laser printers have fans, this one is pretty quiet, and doesn't stay on longer than a couple minutes after the last page has printed. The printing is incredibly fast and the quality is exactly what I was looking for. If you are printing text, it is perfect; I wouldn't recommend full page black and white photos though. I've had it for only a couple days, so we'll see how it lasts. It is compact, looks good, and the price is perfect, I highly recommend this printer... so far.

awesome printer ♡
I really love my printer..I started couponing in October and i was in need of a good printer that could save me money by not spending to much ink... after a lot of research i decide to buy a laser printer..I print lots of coupons.. it has been 2 months since i bought it and it working pretty good, it prints very fast also has a save mode that you can set in your computer so the toner lasts more.. i havent change the toner and im very happy about that since its just the starter toner.. ill come back and update when i run out of toner... seriously if you want a good printer and also save money this is your printer..Why buy a cheap ($30) printer and thn pay lots of money for the ink?It better to spend a little more for a more economical printer n then save your money when it comes to the ink which its very expensive and last about nothing...

Brother now has a "hard shutdown" toner detection in its printers to sell more toner.
Buyer Beware , This is the second printer I've purchased since I had Extra Printer cartridges from the first purchase. This one didn't last 6 months, now I know why. Brother now has a "hard shutdown" toner detection switch in its printers to sell more toner. The detection switch breaks easily. All my cartridges are full but the printer says I have NO Toner and it will not print . Now I'm out close to three hundred bucks. Now I have two of the same printers and 6 Toner cartridges and can't use any of it. Piece of crap. Don't buy this product or you'll be sorry in less than 6 months.

Print as much as you like and still afford to eat!
This printer is hands down the best monochrome printer you can get! Your search is over.It prints fast, it's reliable, every part is cheap to replace. I can print well over 2000 pages before I have to replace the toner, which is only $45!I print a lot of shipping labels and address labels and this works great for that.Eventually I did notice printing defects, so I just replaced the drum ($17) and it's as good as new! It's the honda civic of printers!Color inkjet printers are cheap when you buy them then kill you with their ink prices. This has a very slightly steeper price than a low quality inkjet printer, but you'll be printing for the rest of your life with it and still be able to afford rent.

Great printer, great price, great product!
So far, so good. I don't think the starter cartridge lasted very long, but because we were so happy to be able to print again, I could be wrong. However, I know I didn't get through a full pack of paper (500 sheets) with it.That being said, I am happy. I know people complain about noise, but really once it is turned on and goes through it's initial noise ( a few seconds), I don't even notice it. Usually I just turn it off if I am not going to use it, but if it is on, there might be a low hum but nothing that really annoys me or anything I can't tune out.As for printing, I am overjoyed! We had so many problems with other printers, the ones with wet ink. They ALWAYS dried out, even if we were using it on a daily basis. Yes, this is only black and white, but I hardly ever want or need color. And we are on a regular cartridge (OEM) now and haven't had low ink or problems with it and I know we have printed a lot!We have now had this for over a year and it works great! I would recommend it if you need a black and white printer that isn't too expensive.

Disposable laser printers are here, AT LAST!
Home business requires a lot of B&W laser printing that uses up toner. Many times the cheap toner cartridges sold on ebay ruined my drum unit. Replace the drum? Laser drums purchased on the "after market" have been horrible - print quality unacceptable. But to buy a new OEM one from Brother in years past was over $100. Wait a minute! This printer comes with a new drum and toner cartridge for less than the cost of a drum alone.I now have a collection of working Brother HL2140, HL2240, etc. machines that had their drums wear out...I simply purchased a new printer. In fact I have 5 that all work if you want to buy new drums for them. But it is cheaper to buy an entirely new printer with drum & toner. To hell with the environment, recycling and all that. The OEM drum price is now down to about $10 more than this printer. The "compatible", non-OEM, drums are so hit and miss I'll NEVER buy one again. Even if the OEM drum prices gets down to $10 less than this printer the OEM toner included still makes it cost effective to --believe it or not-- buy a new printer instead of buying a drum + toner. What a strange world this has become where you try to recycle only to receive a rebuilt drum that ruins your printing, or a refilled toner cartridge that ruins your drum...so that you end up shelving a working laser printer because Amazon will ship a new one for so little cost.By the way this printer is fabulous work horse that delivers thousands of text pages, FedEx laser labels, customer literature, etc. I must love this printer because I keep snapping them up for $70 free shipping.
