Incredible Slider
I would first like to start off by saying I only review products that I either really love or I really hate. I also bought this product with my own money and was not paid for this review. This is one of the best sliders I have ever owed. The build quality is absolutely outstanding and the price was beyond fair. The all-metal construction is so rare to see nowadays. I have multiple sliders and I bought this one because I needed something portable so I love the fact that it has a double track which allows you to double the slider length when you install it to the bottom rail of your tripod. The all-metal legs with rubber feet are adjustable for when you need to place it on a table or the ground. The top tripod mount has both tripod screw size configurations. The bottom mount is configured for both as well. The unit is 11 inches long but the amount of slide is 7 inches each way. I love the fact that they did not exaggerate the total distance. Even the packaging was great. The only thing I wish I had was a carrying bag but in their defense the price was so reasonable I can’t blame them. However, I would offer it as a separate accessory. Bottomline, love it.

Great customer service when product stopped working
This product is pretty good. I use it for live streaming on a weekly basis. I love how I can switch scenes on my software and when the slider is selected it looks smooth when I am talking. It looks as if I have a videographer following me but it's the slider doing its magic. Unfortunately the motor stopped working and I was very disappointed. I reached out to the company website and shared my purchase receipt from Amazon. Within 48 hours I was speaking with Dan a customer support rep. I shared a video of what the slider was doing and the noise it was making. He said he would put a new one in the mail, and kindly asked would I return the old one. He did everything, he sent a RMA number and all I had to do was take it to UPS. I took a picture and email showing my proof or return and I have a new unit. I was very nervous I was going to be out of my money as this was my first experience of equipment failure with GVM and at the time of purchase this was what was in my budget. Although I wanted the next model up I had to roll with what I could to get my show running with a professional look. Dan made me feel real comfortable knowing GVM stands by their products. Although it was 2 weeks without the slider I am back up and running for next week's show. So I say if you have issues please go to their website and contact customer service.

To bad the remote is so cheap.
This thing works great, I put a Z7ii with a 14-30 on it. I had no issues with the track going up and down. Also the stop points have to be set every time its turned on. Over all the track is made well the remote is cheep plastic Im very concerned it will last.

AN AFFORDABLE SLIDER
Sometimes you find a product on Amazon and it leads you to products made by the same manufacturer and you also give those products a try. So is the case with the GVM GT-60D. I had purchased 2 of their batteries and then I saw this budget-priced SLIDER so I figured I would give it a try. I have been wanting to do product arc shots for a long time and this slider has allowed me to do this. I incorporated my gimbal to help achieve this task. The Slider is made out of aluminum and comes with a wired remote control. At first, the programming can be a bit challenging but once you get the hang of it, it is pretty simple. Tje unit also has 4 leveling feet and a bubble level. Adding a gimbal into the mix makes this truly fun. You can use this Slider's remote to trigger the shutter of your camera to do Time-Lapse photography but that was not something I am presently interested in using this slider for. Overall, I think this Slider is well made. It is quiet but don't expect to run a camera on this with audio recording unless the microphone is well isolated. The sound of the moving motor will be recorded through conduction of the camera to the Slider. I would recommend this slider to anyone who wants to add different motion to their time-lapse studies, stills, and video.

Not bad for the price.
To start with the positives, this slider is light weight and well built. It feels very sturdy. It is a great option for adding motion to b-roll or a second camera interview. I like that you can set end points for each direction to keep your subject framed the way you want. Also it’s very cheap compared to other sliders with its capabilities. The downside, the interface for time lapse control is very confusing. I have a handle on it now but it is not intuitive. I wish the motor would move a little slower. It seems to fast even on the slowest setting. The motor is also loud. Audio captured from the camera mounted to the slider would only be acceptable for reference. My biggest issue is that the slider shipped to me with a broken battery charger. I replaced the battery to see if that was the issue but it turned out to be the battery charger. I sent a email to the GVM customer service but so far have not gotten a reply.

Good for time lapse
I bought this motorized camera slider . Before I bought this slider, I also tried a Neewer wireless automated slider. In the end, I decided to keep this GVM slider because my friend said the GVM slider is better than the Neewer. It's easy to use, quick to setup, and the added counterweight helps stabilize the video and the panning action greatly. Not only that, the turning handle can help you create some super slow panning action shots, without any fuss. After figuring out how to set paramater on the slider it was really easy to use. like , I cana djust the mount to do some awesome shots, which is great ! Used with pano mode I got some awesome pictures. So much cheaper than other sliders I looked at. I am so happy to enjoy it. So if you are a videographer on a budget, I highly recommend this slider because it gets the job done well, with the least amount of budget. Overall, a great value and definitely a keeper!

I used this slider with my DSLR camera to capture some B-roll footag without having shaky and non-stabilized recording shots. The slider feels very sturdy and well constructed. Even while mounted, the weight of the camera does not hinder the slider’s conveyor belt speeds and can be manually adjusted using the controller hub. The hub connects to the slider’s mechanical unit on the far right side of the belt via a notched BNC cable and and optional remote shutter cable (you must purchase separately according to your camera unit’s available shutter ports), howeverthey do include an extension cable for extra cable length. I have the option to tinker around with the speed and “start/stop” points of the slider, effectively allowing the slider to move my camera from point A to point B at my desired positions on the slider track, as well as the ability to initiate an “auto-loop” sliding session, or “auto-stop” sliding session whoch will stop the track once it has reached either side of the slider. The gears were well lubricated with no mechanical grinding and operation felt smooth., my B-roll footage looked completely stabilized. Included is a battery pack for the controller hub, as well as its wall charger.

En general ha añadido un valor a mis producciones, muy intuitivo y fácil de opera; lo único que no me ha encantado es el material de construcción del control, temo que se rompa o abra fácilmente.

Amazing product! You pay for quality, except i wish the remote was build different, when you press a button you hear a big ''CLICK'' it's not quiet at all, if you plan recording sound and click the remote while recording, you will hear it... If they build a different remote with quiet button, i would pay extra money for this option for sure! Also, the 1% speed motion is not as slow as i expected, was hoping for a slower movement. But i do suggest this product!

Used this slider in the winter time, and it performed very well. The control is fairly easy to figure out. I have a heavy camera with an extra battery mount, and the slider handled it no problem. I had an issue with the remote plug in ( my fault nothing to do with the product) I made a phone call to the head office, and they got back to me within 2 hour of me leaving a message. The problem was fixed in no time.

GVM’s GT-60D I received, appeared as refurbished product. It was squeezed/packed. Right out of the box, first thing I noticed that it’s belt was deformed (had kinda twist) at two different spots and belt had quite a bit slack in it as well. Regardless, Slider appeared solid built. Carrier/Dolly had quite a play in it. To test the product, I placed the slider on the floor with a mirrorless camera on (using a ball head, 24fps, 75% travel speed). Using the wired controller was easy, but I was quite disappointed when video appeared to be jerky+jumping at both start, middle and at the end of the travel as well. I then increased the motor speed to 100%, which appeared quite slow to me, but it did not make any difference. I believe, beside the belt, problem was with the carriage itself, which had quite a bit of play/clearance between the wheels and the rail (approx. 1/16”).. Btw, you will notice that most of the youtube reviewers are using stabilizers (stabilized-gimbals) with it and rating it high. IMHO, if you can afford a stabilizer, then it’s not worth. (Stabilizer will be a very good investment though). Many good sliders(manually operated) are available @ 1/3rd of the cost. Check out vimeo for hangman: They slide cameras by hand. Notes: 1. By design, There is no belt tension adjustment mechanism present. (eg: a tensioner ). Only possible option would be to cut the belt where it is clamped, reduce it’s length in order to get rid of slack (+excessive play at the dolly) and then clamp it back. Doing so will void the warranty. (I would have done it, if product’s price was under 100 bucks). 2. Attached video plays twice the speed so you can clearly see what happens. Look carefully at the straight edge, which was placed at the very top of the card board box. 3. No stabilizing used with the camera, lens or during video post process whatsoever. 4. Product was returned promptly very next day
