Fantastic spotting scope for the money. Worked great with long shot camera. Images were crystal clear and easy to use. Worked great for long range shooting.

To be honest, I wasn't expecting much from this scope, especially for the price but..... At 100 yards 223 bullet holes are easily seen, at 300 yards with golf tees in the target, excellent clarity and at last 600 yards, golf tees with a star type top I can see the golf tee stars perfectly. I'm pretty sure there is't a spotting scope made that to can see 223 bullet holes in a bullseye target at 300+ yards made, maybe in the white part of the target you might see them. Again at 600 yards I was able to clearly see blades of tall grass and the star top of the golf tee at top magnification and surprisingly clear. I suppose like all optical products made there may be a wide spectrum of clarity and quality. I am extremely picky about spotting scopes and rifle scopes in general, this Athlon scope was a pleasant surprise and very low cost for the such good quality.

Great little spotting scope for the price. Good for range days or just wildlife watching. I have knocked this thing over so many times and it still looks good.

Bought to watch sailboats out of my window. I can see them up to several miles away from inside my house with this scope. I am blown away by the photo quality. At about half a mile I can make out the words on a “No trespassing sign” on a beach area on 60x zoom although it’s ever so slightly blurred. Strong value for the money. I also haven’t tested it, but Athlon claims they have a lifetime no questions asked warranty policy in the included manual.The tripod works ok for sitting at a desk but it’s too short for anything else. Construction is sturdy and the device feels good. The telescoping eye protector works well as do all of the knobs.Only quibble is that the knob that tightens and u tightens to allow the device to rotate makes contact with the focus knob at about -75 degrees from North, so you cannot fully rotate the device circumferentially when it’s mounted to a tripod. Not a big deal.

It came in a box that was WAY TO BIG! With no foam or any padding! Thanks Amazon for expensive shipping and handling with that junk packaging.Tripod is not that good, it's ok but nothing special. Eye relief is bad and the flip eye cup is flimsy and won't stay in place.The glass is clear and decent, I can read licence plate from 300meter away.The picture of the sign is 540 meter away in dim light. The other one is a mountain couple km away.The picture doesn't give the right image from what you are actually seeing in real life.Crisp and clear images!.I will test this and see if it hold up.It's a good buy, but not from Amazon.

I use this here spottin scope while sitting on the porch in the evenin at the ranch. I enjoy sittin on the porch with my boots propped up on the rail, a nice glass of sippin bourbon In my hand, and watchin the cattle, deer, and other critters movin around just before sunset. On some evenin’s, I forego (Read: delay) the bourbon, and shoot a few targets on the backstop I setup down by the barn. This scope makes both of those evenin activities much more enjoyable. The scope has very clear glass and is well made. I love all of the extra features it comes with. I was very impressed with it right out of the box. As soon as I received it, I set it up to see what I could see and was pleasantly surprised that I could count the thorns on a mesquite tree from almost 200 yards away. In all fairness, them are some pretty good size thorns. Regardless, I can spot deer, cattle, wild hogs, wild turkeys, roadrunners, and even the occasional snake from varyin distances, while still enjoyin my sippin bourbon. This is a very nice spottin scope and does it’s job for me very well. I keep the lens clean and covered when not in use, and so far, it holds up to South Texas ranch life very well.
