Very easy to assemble, buy a pair for the best value.
Seems like the pair is not only significanly cheaper than buying two single stands, it's also provided with both the vertical and horizontal mount kits (useful if you change how you want your speakers mounted later).

Questionable value
If you’re looking at these then you’re probably looking at these because you want your play 5 speakers horizontal, and not vertical. (The vertical flexson mount has been £30 cheaper in all the time I’ve been looking). My first set of play 5s went vertical, to save £60 over two speakers. I wanted horizontal speakers. I got these. What’s in the box is identical to what’s in the vertical stand box. With the addition of one metal plate, that permits an alternative fixing of your speakers as horizontal. Is it a £30 plate? Transparently not. Are the stands worth £109? In the context of there being little substantive competition, why not? But definitely not compared to the £30 cheaper verticals. This is literally a bizarre horizontal speaker tax.Unlike the vertical, the play 5s pretty much balance on the horizontal rest. The bit that holds them in is an L shaped piece of plastic slotted over a horizontal metal support. It will come off if tugged, but at least looks supportive. As the proud owner of two Labradors and a five year old, I can’t say this fills me with total confidence - if you try to pick up the stand by the speaker, you’ll 100% pick up the speaker alone. No movement, even, from the stand. So, yeah. This does a job, expensively. £220 on top of your speakers, which probably doesn’t seem that much given the expense of those speakers already. I’m not convinced it’s actual value, but then again I suspected that when I hit buy.

Damage on speaker stand
On unpacking these Flexson speaker stands for Sonos Play 5 speakers there was damage to the front edge of the base plate on both stands. The damage was chipped and faulty paint with surface rust present on both as can be seen in the photos. This appears to be a manufacturing fault as the packaging was substantial and intact. I will accept these stands as they are, as I cannot be bothered to return the items and risk the same problem again. I have rectified this issue by applying a coverstrip over the front edge. The speaker stand is an excellent design but very disappointed with the quality of the paint finish on the base plate.

Solid build and great quality
I have no issue at all with this stand. The construction is solid and blends well with the Sonos FIVE speaker. It almost looks like an all-in-one product with the speaker. I understand the concern people have with the speaker not being clamped down to the stand. However between the rubber gaskets and me being careful on where I position it, carry it or move it, I don't worry much. Heck ...even if it was clamped down and the speaker/ stand gets knocked over, the speaker will get damaged.
