Great tool to have in your box. It’s a same not to have a socket retainer on the square drive, but if your old school you’ll remember the paper trick for not dropping nuts and bolts out of your sockets so this isn’t a problem. Fair price.

Good in some ways.

If you have the room, this little guy can speed up the removal of corroded and stressed fasteners. Not used on every job but damn handy if you have a stubborn one.

Update...Second time using this, the square drive snapped off. Contacted Mayhew via their website. They responded quickly asking for a picture of the broken tool, a copy of my Amazon receipt, and the address I wanted a replacement sent to. A few days later, a new tool was at my door.This worked great for hammering on a bolt without damaging the bolt head. I was concerned about this damaging the back of the socket, but I was surprised to find no damage to the back of the socket nor to the front of the socket either. I bought the 1/2in version of this and only hammered straight on to the bolt itself. I cannot attest to the sheer strength of this bit from side load being put in it.

Only way to get seized glow plugs out of a Duramax, once motor is hot and with the use of this tool working the glow plug back and fourth and then it’s out!

Great tool use it for removing exhaust manifold bolts, only wish is had a retainer to keep the socket on when going from bolt to bolt, bought both the 1/2 and 3/8 versions

It does the job.
