Worked great the one time I used it.
I got this for our kayaks. Only had to use one so far when I dropped my pole in the water. Now we have them on leashes.

Oh the Treasures we will find!
It looks like the magnet is of very good quality and the rope looks good. We haven't tried it out yet as this was a Christmas present for my daughter. She does a lot of paddle boarding on the river in the summer. Last year she lost her keys and if she would have had this along she would have been able to retrieve them!! We plan to go treasure hunting in another month or so depending on the snow!

Seems pretty durable, haven’t used it yet. I think the only weak point would be the knot where the carabiner attaches. But that’s an easy fix if you know knots.
