Reiki Best Practices: Wonderful Tools of Healing for the First, Second and Third Degree of Reiki (Shangri-La)

An excellent Reiki reference text for anyone who is into this wonderful energy healing system.
Since I have been a Reiki Master I have read numerous books on Reiki and energy healing and this one is one of the best of the group. This 292 page soft cover book (Reiki Best Practices: wonderful tools of healing for the first, second and third degree of Reiki by Walter Lubeck and Frank Arjava Petter) covers numerous ways to use Reiki. In fact this volume is one of the most comprehensive books I have ever read on using Reiki methods in combination with other techniques to heal. This volume covers the following material: What is a technique? The Reiki initiation. What is Rainbow Reiki? Allowing the energy of initiations to have its optimal effect. Is Reiki an intelligent force that can do no wrong? Before, during and after a Reiki treatment, How to use Reiki-Symbols, Feng Shui during the Reiki session. The longest part of the book has to do with the techniques and it shows more than 50 techniques for using Reiki. One of the things I found interesting in this book which I never saw in other books on Reiki is the use of this universal energy being sent to a parking place. In fact, I have used Reiki numerous times when I was seeking a parking place and it worked every single time up to this point. If you are a Reiki professional this is a must own reference source; however, this book does now show any of the Reiki symbols. It assumes you already know them, which you should know three of them for second degree and at least four of them for third degree.Rating: 5 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Author: Chair/Seated Tai Chi, Qigong and Yoga for seniors and the physically challenged).

Very wonderful tools!!
I like this book in particular because it gives you many ideas on how to use reiki. It has exercises from level 1 to level 3, this book is very useful for the level one. It teaches to treat your pets, plant, house, patients and yourself, this is very important, because you have to help yourself first to be able to help others. Includes meditations for all levels that you can add to your daily routine!Buy this book, you wont regret it!

Reiki Best Practices; Wonderful tools of Healing for the First, Second and Third degree of Reiki
I love this book!! It is so full of really good information and I find myself referring to it often. It is the one book that I carry with me constantly. It is a very comprehensive reference book to the many, many techniques that everyone should have if they are practicing Reiki.

Excellent Tool Book
This is a wonderful resource for anyone who uses Reiki. I highly recommend this. I found lots of "reminders" and some inspiration on how to further use Reiki for myself and my clients. A must have for your tool kit.

Too didactic
I was very disappointed in this book. I appreciate some of the ideas for ways to incorporate Reiki into everyday life, such as charging household appliances with Reiki or using Reiki to separate two glasses that are stuck together. For the most part, though, it seems the authors are determined to attach a lot of rules and technical instructions to the beautifully simple practice of Reiki. For those who are into a lot of ceremony or who rely on studious planning and precise execution to strengthen their own focus, the book might be a fun or even helpful addition to a Reiki library. But it seems almost insulting to Reiki to imply that all the extra attention makes Reiki better or changes the effect that it may have. If we intend for Reiki to go for the greatest good of the recipient, it will. It's that simple.

Good reference book
A lot of good information, but it tends a little too much to the strict, rigid, formulaic methods of treatment. As much as I admire Petter, these treatment instructions push the loose, what works is true and everyone's approach is different concept I have for Reiki.

Interesante

Great book. It's clearly written, techniques are given in detail and are effective.
I've read at least two other beginners books on Reiki, and I've found this one is the best.It is very clearly written. Technique procedures are given in detail and I have obtained very good results with it.I also like the many techniques given in this book, they are for diverse purposes, on which Reiki can be efficiently applied.I also like the clear concepts given in this book underlying the techniques, which I think, gives to this simple, clear and practical book an excellent rational framework for the methodic practitioner wishing to make further progress on the practice of Reiki.

Great Reiki working manual
I've only recently found this book but am finding it invaluable within my own Reiki practice as well as utilising some of the practices with my students. Some of the exercises are new (to me anyway!) and some are ones I already know about, but they are all clearly laid out with easy instructions and each practice comes with a recommendation as to other practices within the book that may complement each other. An excellent tool for learning, healing and teaching!
