Great fan, tricky install
Fan works nicely and is a great upgrade over the small broan unit it replaced. The humidity-sensing two-speed feature works nicely and it moves a lot of air. It is also very quiet, though once I added the roof vent and 5’ of flex duct it added a bit of noise to it. It is still quieter than the unducted broan.Install with attic access would be easiest with two people. It should also be noted that the brackets are only long enough if this unit is roughly centered between studs. Mine is against one on one side, and one of the brackets can’t reach the opposing stud. It still holds fine with one full bracket and one side screwed into the stud.Install was a little hairy. You can’t install the brackets before raising it into the ceiling, and you can’t install them once between the studs. I’m not sure quite how that was supposed to work, but I improvised and it’s ok.

LOVE it OR HATE it: READ
I don’t make too many reviews but this one is important. PREFACE: I have bought 2 different Delta fans – 1. SMT130 and 2. VFB25AEH. The SMT130 is outstanding. Always ON. It is VERY VERY important that you buy a fan with a DC motor and NOT an AC motor. Both of these are 130 CFM. Don’t get anything smaller. NO STEAMED MIRROR and no foggy moisture or mold in the bathroom, problem solved.Because I have a wife (sorry all women readers) I have to remove the dedicated wall fan switch and wire the fan so that it WILL ALWAYS be on when the bathroom light is turned on, otherwise my wife will not remember to turn on the fan which is a real disaster, problem solved. Now the LOVE or HATE issue: The SMT130 is no problem at all, but the VFB25AEH is or can be a problem. Why? Because if you go into the bathroom to go poo poo the fan will be in AUTOMATIC mode and will not come on thus stinky bathroom. The only way to solve this issue is to train your wife to turn on the light switch and turn it off and then back on, then the fan will be in MANUAL mode with full speed fan running. However, it is real cool and exciting on the VFB25AEH to get into the shower and then after turning on the water to the shower the fan comes on automatically and then when your done to see it (humidity goes down) shift into low speed and if your in the bathroom long enough turn off by its self. This is real cool and impressive. As long as the humidity sensor and fan stays working I am very happy.NOTE: Because of all the complaints from other buyers Delta has made a new model with an additional wire to force the fan to come on with only one flip of the switch. I guess that may be useful with using 2 switches but after using this fan for a while I see no need to make things more complicated but its nice to have that choice. I am praying that my wife can be trained to use this fan.

Doesn't turn off once humidity drops below 60% as advertised
I really wanted to like this fan. I actually love the blue light as it adds a very small amount of light for late night visits to the bathroom without turning on an overly bright light. Yes, this fan is horrible to install and you must have access from above to do it properly. The larger issue is this fan does NOT turn off as advertised once the RH drops below 60%. My home is typically around 52% relative humidity and sometimes drops as low as 48% ... yet these fans continue to run at a low speed... sucking all heat (or AC in summer) right out of the house. This negates any 'cost savings' regarding the green/efficient fan. If you're considering this fan for it's 60% auto shut off feature... don't waste your time. Get an adjustable RH model and save yourself the headache of a difficult installation with this model. I've replaced two of these models (neither worked as indicated) with adjustable RH models and am quite happy now.

Wow! This really moves some air
Got this fan as my bathroom was still fogging up with a newer 85 CFM fan at 2.5 sones. I was amazed at how this fan moves more air (110 CFMs) and is so quite (.3 sones). I didn't think it was possible this could be quite than my 1 some fan that only moves 50 CFMs but it was.I had no attic access for this fan but instructions were great in providing options. Worked well and fan installed fairly easily. The bathroom no longer fogs up and I can feel the air movement created. Fantastic fan and would buy again in the future.

Great fan, Bluetooth a nice feature
Awesome fan. I'm glad I went with the Bluetooth feature because its a nice touch for our renovated bathroom. It's quiet enough though in larger bathrooms would likely be even quieter.freeI was somehow able to wire the fan and Bluetooth separately so the Bluetooth always stays on and "hot" so I don't have to deal with the dreaded startup sound ppl have been complaining about.I wanted to swap the included speaker with my Amazon echo dot, following another reviewer's idea but unfortunately the 3rd gen echo dots don't have the same power cord as this speaker.I paired the fan with a Dew Stop programmable humidity sensor switch (see my review) and I love it!

Worth it !! So quiet, so powerfull
Just WOW !The new house came with the bare minimum bath fan the builder could get away with (50 CFM,4.5 Sone). These two abbreviations will mean everything. Before - black mildew on the shower curtain, and in grout monthly. Spray some belach laidend chemical, doneNow - leave the autosensing fan in the "on" position, bathroom does not even fog up, have not had "any" mildew since.DC motor uses very little power, ramps up automatically, turns off automaticaly.

Terribly loud Bluetooth chime each time fan turned on
Ok, why in the world would you put a Bluetooth speaker that, EVERYTIME you turn the fan on, it goes through an audio “I’m on” chime!! and it’s not a quiet one either....sure, the fan is quiet, but if someone turns the fan on in the middle of the night, the whole house hears the chime. I’ve had the disconnect the power port to the speaker to stop the chime, know I don’t have the BT feature.....don’t waste your money on this one. Delta, go back to the drawing board.

Powerful and Quiet
I installed it in my 50sqf bathroom. It works great. The brushless motor and humidity sensor is the highlight. The noise is noticeable but not annoying. The fan around 8" deep, so please make sure you got enough space in put it in.

Humidity sensor works well, quiet, and powerful.
Installed this over a year ago in our bathroom. Great fan. Easy to install, powerful, nice and quiet. The humidity sensor works well and is easy to 'override' if you want it on all the time.Basically the fan has a blue light and an orange light. You operate it using the wall switch. It will remember what mode you used last and will default to that when you turn on the fan. For example, if you used the humidity sensor last and you turn on the switch, it will start up in humidity sensor mode (blue light). If you want it to turn on full blast you simply flick it off and then on again and the fan will switch to full power mode (orange light). Very easy to use, pulls a lot of air, and is quite quiet. Would recommend.

4" vent required
Works great. Be aware the <0.3 sone rating can only be achieved with a 4" vent. It's significantly louder (but still quieter than my builder-grade fan) with a 3".The default setting when you flip the on switch is to be in humidity-controlled mode. You'll need to flip the switch on-off-on to override the humidity sensor and force it on. This may be an annoyance to those that have smelly bowel movements.

Can be annoying
I do not know why they programmed to it to "ding" when it turns on and then another "ding" kind of noise when it starts up. This is very annoying. Then last week the motor started making a vibrating/grinding noise and then stopped and started working again. I don't think it is going to last much longer.
