Perfect to store toys for the kids!
We bought our first 12-cube shelfs for displaying/storing my son's Godzilla and other toy collections in his room. After seeing how great the product is, we bought a second set with some of the cloth storage cube bins for his Legos! Looks amazing against his walls and saved space as the old containers for these items took up so much more space. Assembly was a breeze and being able to define our own overall shape of the shelf system was the deciding factor! The plastic clips that hold the panels in place have a tight fit, which adds to the stability of the shelf system. You must make sure you are properly seating the clips and panels together for everything to work as intended, still I wouldn't expect this to hold any substantial weight just lightweight items. TomCare provides a small wooden hammer tool with the kit. Our hammer broke on the first set within about 6 cubes being assembled with very light tapping, just enough to slightly move the clips with each tap. Luckily, I had a small rubber mallet and was able to finish securing the remaining clips. On our second set we ordered, the wooden hammer held up better as compared to the first set we built. Overall, we will most likely buy a couple more sets for my daughters room and after seeing some of the reviews from other reviewers and their use cases, might get a couple for me for storing cables and other parts and accessories.

Huge shelf unit from one teensy box.
Initially, looking at the pieces, I was convinced I was missing huge numbers of them, but no. There were plenty (a few more than needed, even) of them. The pieces consisted of the walls/floors and the joints to put it all together. There were a couple of exterior corners which required a small amount of thinking to insert the panels correctly into the joint pieces, but otherwise, assembly was a breeze. The cute little hammer included in the kit actually served a purpose, although I ended up using my own small metal hammer to tighten the joint pieces with the panels. I assembled it and filled it with a variety of objects, some heavier than I would have thought the panels could handle. Assembly took about an hour (12 cube), and I was wrong about the fragility of the opaque, lightweight panels. Although they appeared ridiculously insubstantial, they were actually quite strong, and were easily able to hold framing materials (including wooden frames), compact boxes of tools, and other many, many other miscellaneous items. The unit is sturdy with no tendency to tip over, and those little joint pieces were ingeniously designed. Bottom line: excellent value for the low price, plus it looks good!

Mostly Easy to Put Together & Good for Storage
I am always impressed by well designed, useful items. This storage organizer has terrible directions but once you figure it out on your own and build a routine, is fairly simple to put together. A couple of the plastic connecting pieces were duds, but they provide extra. It's very helpful that you can build it to your own desired size - I wanted mine longer rather than higher for example. It's easy to move and light-weight once put together as well. Holds fair amount of clothing in my closet, which is helpful.

Luves the cubes!
Love these cubes! I used mine for yarn storage. Can you tell I like blue yarn? As many have said, the mallet is useless. I used a small mallet after I pushed them together with my hands to make sure they were connected. Since there were so many cubes, I was able to put my yarn together by type and color, and then some finished products. I am thinking about buying more for my closets.

An easily assembled light duty display case
I bought one of these and then after assembling it bought a second. It really is easy to put together; all the panels are identical and don't have a front or back side, and there are only two kinds of joining clips, one kind for the floor level and the other for the upper tiers. And unlike many DIY assembly structures, with a firm push the clips actually click in place with an audible click. I had no use for the mallet provided; I just pushed and squeezed to make sure all the parts were firmly seated. A couple of extra panels and clips are provided, so you are not stuck if you somehow damage one (I didn't need them). I'm using mine for office knick knacks and mementoes. You certainly would not want to load it with heavy books (the panels are heavyweight but flexible plastic film, seem pretty strong but would sag if you really loaded them down). For the price, it's a great solution, much better for my purposes than a solid wooden or plastic case because with light penetrating from all directions things are not hidden in shadows in their cubbyholes.

Prepare for some sweat.
1. The instruction is poor. You would have to use your human common sense to assemble many parts. After you were done assembling, you would have 4 legs, 8 standard connectors, and 1 panel left, and made you wonder "What did I miss!" 2. It is HARD to assemble. The hammer the seller provided is too small/light to have the pressure to tighten all the joins to where they are supposed to be. The handle of the hammer came loose after using it for 10 min. Therefore, I had to use the plastic hammer that they use in the car shop to do mine in order to get all the joints tight (please keep in mind that if you use other tools or hammers only when you do not plan to return. Because you might damage the parts. 3. While you were trying to snap some parts together, other parts/connectors that you already tightened may come loose. 4. You would need a lot of space to do the assembling, because you would have to roll it up, down, side, back etc,. pretty much like you roll yourself on a king size bed over night. After you get it assembled, it is not a bad storage.
