Philips Satinelle Essential Epilator, Corded, Compact Hair Removal, BRE224/00 White & Green

I’ve been epilating for around 15 years. I’ve tried quite a few but have always gone back to my old one as they weren’t as good.This one is amazing!! To be honest, upon first use, I was ready to send it back. I couldn’t feel it pulling out any hairs at all. I was seriously disappointed. I tried again a few hours later with a light next to me so I could see the hairs before I tried removing them… it took off EVERY HAIR on my legs, including the tiny ones that no other epilator has ever removed! I’m blown away as I had no pain at all. Nothing!It’s extremely lightweight, easy to use, attaches to the mains. It’s the best one I’ve ever had or tried!I recommend this to new users and people like myself who’ve been doing this for years.Don’t waste your money on the more expensive ones. This is the best!

My legs have had laser removal but still have random patches here and there and now can't sort now as I have leg tattoos. I was really impressed with this as my first epilator and all the hairs it was pulling out had the hair follicle attached so I could see it's working and my legs were silky smooth after. I will try it on my under arms next and I'm confident it will work just as well. Yes this does cause some discomfort but I wouldnt say it's painful :)

I've held off on writing this review, because I wanted to see if those people who say it gets easier were telling the truth. After a couple months of owning this product, I'm not going to lie to you, it HURTS. You re-evaluate every decision that led you to click the 'Add To Basket' button, you lament the fact that societal normals demand you remove every inch of hair from your legs, you hate the knowledge that if you were tortured in such a way by anyone, you might just give up government secrets. I thought getting tattoos would be worse, but it's not. Somehow, the epilator unlocks something primal within, like the first time man touched fire and was burned.But it does a banging job.My legs have never been smoother. Yes, my fight or flight instinct is triggered the whole time, but for the sake of 20 minutes of pain, the result is worth it. The bonus is that it lasts so much longer than shaving, and in my opinion the hair does grow back softer and lighter, meaning you can leave it longer between sessions.My only gripe with this one is it doesn't remove the hair consistently on each pass, but it's the only epilator I've ever had, so maybe that's normal. It also leaves red bumps on my legs, but after some lotion and a night's rest, they're gone.For an entry level epilator I'd recommend it if you don't want to sink too much money into something you might give up, but I'll definitely be buying a different one which is hopefully more effective.

This is a really nice epilator and very easy to use once you get used to it, great choice for a first time user. Good value for the money.

Purchased as an early Christmas present but she’s got it early, very happy with the results

Definitely a budget epilator, this was my 3rd epilator. In comparison to the other two, the epilation area is smaller, it’s not so pleasant to grip and it doesn’t pick up as well. It also doesn’t flex as much, so it’s difficult to get to e.g. top of knee etc. I’ve had it 6 months and am ready to pay more again.

This epilator is a great tool for long-lasting smooth skin. It removes hair effectively and gets even the short ones that waxing sometimes misses. The process can be a bit painful at first (especially if you’re new to epilating), but it gets easier over time. The device feels well-made and easy to handle, and the different speed settings are helpful. Would’ve loved a quieter motor, but overall it’s a great investment for at-home hair removal.
