Nice Tin, Terrible Candy
I bought this as a gift for someone. I ended up pretty embarrassed.1) The candies inside were wrapped beautifully, but tasted terrible. The recipient said he would make do with the candies somehow - because he loved the tin so much I suggested melting them in a hot coffee... I am not sure what they are supposed to taste like but they feature 3 flavor layers: Milky candy inside, then a coffee candy layer atop that, then very, very thin chocolate coating on the outside. The candy was so soft as if it had been soaking in water. (I know the texture from childhood games in which we experimented with all the candies in flavors we didn't like.) The outer chocolate coating looked beautiful with the shape being like an oversized coffee bean. But once in your mouth, the coating dissolved in seconds. But no part of this tasted appealing at all. It was really horrid like simple sugar with a minimal dash of coffee extract.2) I did not receive the tin that was featured in the listing at the time. But that's ok because I thought the design I received was much better than what I ordered. And the listing has been since updated to reflect what I received. So I paid $15 to give him a container with a nasty little experience inside - which he'll always remember whenever he sees that gorgeous tin.

Good gift idea
I like to give this product as a gift! The tin is a good collectible and the recipients like the chocolate!!

Container States Made in Italy.
Most of the metal container Maxim's products seem to have the label Made in Italy or Product of Italy. Not sure why this is. Most other Maxim's products have the product of France label. Regrettably, these particular candies were not that special.
