Fellowes Powershred Performance Shredder Oil, 12 oz. Extended Nozzle Bottle (35250) (Pack of 1)

Worked great to clear an otherwise intractable paper jam. I just poured a lot of this on it, tried to start it, didn’t work, let it sit 24 hours, poured a lot more on it, let it sit another day, and voilà, the paper was soft enough that the machine started working again and chewed it up. I’ll be using this more regularly for its correct purpose of lubricating my machine, and I’ve instructed my daughter to put way fewer sheets of paper in at any given time lol.

Have used this with every shredder we’ve purchased to keep the shredder’s ‘teeth’ well oiled and running smoothly. I usually will apply a small line along the paper insertion site then run the shredder’s ‘forward’ and ‘reverse’ buttons a few times to distribute the oil on the metal shredding mechanism.

I have a paper shredder that is over 20 years old. It is used weekly and works flawlessly. The reason for that is because things were made better 20 years ago and I apply oil to the blades regularly. This product is very easy to use, has very low odor, and just plain works. You can either apply the oil directly to the blades or put it on a piece of paper then shred it. The oil helps the shredder run smoothly and significantly cuts down on paper jams.

This is not really a review. I am trying to find out how to open tip? No where online or on the bottle does it tell you.Do snip off the end? Or do you push a nail through the tip. I don't wan too much oil to come out but at the same time you need enough to do the job.

Has everything else in our lives we need to maintain it which is great to keep the shredder the teeth running and sharp

This oil for your paper shredder is a very thin lubricant. Not a bad price point, but it gets the job done of keeping them shredder rollers oiled and lubed.
