Astonish plus elbow grease is a winner.
The British made this stuff. I read a review from an Army cook...a veteran who said he was 69 years old...he said since he was introduced to Astonish long ago it's the only cleaner he ever uses because it's so effective. I was sold to give it a try. I'm a 70 year old vet too but I did the bulk of my cooking in businesses I had started in restaurants and catering. To that end I'm the cook in my house and raised our kids on the food I made. I am a total disaster in the kitchen to which my sweetheart through all these years will attest. I cook daily, all types of food...long simmers, high heat sauces....I can wreck a stove...I have a six burner professional gas range and I have tried so many degreasers, detergents...all with very limited success...enter Astonish...this product needs a good amount of elbow grease added to it for removing long burned on grease...but...the Army vet is spot on...this product is a paste with a consistency likened to shoe polish...I wore nitrile gloves, used an inexpensive green scrub pad from Walmart...wet the pad, rubbed the surface of the paste to get some product on the pad and began rubbing and scrubbing....these are the seat rings from around the burners and the stuff on them is long hardened refuse from direct battle....no soaking just some elbow grease and Astonish...several minutes later I was looking at silver again...haven't seen that since this dude was new. This is not a magic potion...but if you're willing to add the ingredient of some elbow grease this stuff works. UPDATE: I was going to reorder and crossed a bundle on Amazon of three for a better price and they'll be here tomorrow...like gasoline for my vehicle it'll get used...this stuff is good...it works in the oven as well (zero fumes but clean)...I've found once I do the heavy scrubbing to excavate the long burned on grease the follow up cleaning parties are just simple cleaning...I've shined up some old stainless steel friends too...I'm telling you all... this stuff is a work horse.

Truly ASTONISHING
I admit I was very skeptical with the reviews and after I got mine, I even giggled at the label. There is a symbol on it saying it is safe for Vegans....why would they eat oven and cookware cleaner? Anyway, there is only one word to describe this stuff--Amazing!! I know my cooking style--high heat get-ur-done kinda cooking. This leads to crusty burners and burner rings. When my stove top was new, I changed out the burner rings, center heating plates, grates from a sophisticated grey to black! I do clean them, but they're pretty charred. Just giving you the picture. Now fast forward many years. Some enamel even chipped off. Astonish took off 70% in less than 60 seconds per burner ring and that includes the center heating plates. The grates I clean in my self-cleaning oven. I ran out of time, and got to thinking that next time, I'll wipe the cream on, cover with damp rag, come back later and really go at it and see what a minute's worth of scrubbing will do then. Either way, I'm sharing a bit of my pot of Astonish with my best friend. She's much neater, but still--I was talking on the phone while using the Astonish and she said, "I'd like it for cleaning my stove after we've been doing wiener roasts over the open flame of the stove burner. The wieners drip and burn on." Anyway, I expect to get my stove burners up into the 85% wonderful and shiny with in a week and not have my fingers eaten off with harsh cleaners. It does have a bit of 'grit' in it so be careful. Of course, as with any product, I try to manage my expectations. In this case, although it won't remove everything with no effort, it certainly does as promised and removes an incredible amount in a whisper's time. Any time I can get a product that allows me to my time spend doing something I want to over what I have to is a win! Try this stuff, I don't think you'll be disappointed. But, remember even dynamite has limitations. See picture of my burner below.

great product...does a fantastic job on stainless cookware.
I bought the Astonish oven and cookware cleaner with the intention of cleaning my stainless cookware that is a little over a year old. As the package clearly states, be prepared to do some good, old fashioned scrubbing but it will remove any burnt on grease on the outside of the pan. Most importantly, it doesn't scratch the surface. After rinsing well, I buffed both the in and outside with a microfiber cloth and the pans look as good as new. To be completely fair, I used both the Astonish and Wenol (I had purchased at a local cooking store)and used on two different skillets to compare the products. Both did the same job but the Astonish is cheaper by $5.00 and there is a lot more of the product. The Wenol came in a 4 ounce tube and the Astonish is in a 17.5 ounce tub. Unfortunately, the Astonish also came with a broken lid and had a dried crust on top( easily remedied by pouring in a few drops of water, replacing what was left of the lid and placing the entire package inside a ziplock bag ). Also, a little goes a long way so the Astonish should last quite a long time.

It actually works with a little effort.
I love this I’m taking a break right now but I just did my oven door and it looks so good. My oven is horribly dirty and I’ve tried baking soda and easy off before and they didn’t touch it. It takes some elbow grease but it’s worth it . I’m disabled and not very strong so a healthy strong person would have no problem using it. The inside of my oven is supposed to be blue but it was black. The door is blue again, and there’s no smell.

Not a Bad Product, Just Didn't Work For My Purpose
I bought this to see if it would be able to remove the (small but noticeable to me) spots/stains on our older, white gas stovetop, but this product didn't do much of anything for it. My Mr. Clean Magic Erasers did a much better job at getting most of the staining, so I'm going to roll up my sleeves and show those few remaining spots no mercy... This Astonish cleaner is a finely gritted white paste and I can see how this would be suitable and effective for many things, but just wasn't (effective) for my primary purpose of the stove top. It does appear just a little of this will go a long way, which makes it a cost-effective product. I did test a small area on some (vintage) mustard-colored cookware, but quickly stopped as it appeared to be causing some surface damage (slightly removing the finish). I'm sure that I will find some other use for it at some point, such as stainless steel, oven interior, vehicle wheels/rims, etc. or something that can handle the grit texture.

Terrific cleaner that really works
I have been using Astonish cream cleaner for years. I first bought it after seeing a demo on QVC, and was so happy to see that Amazon carries it now. It works when nothing else does. Baked-on stains on my white Corningware baking dishes, the glass top on my range, the cooked on stains on the bottoms of stainless cookware, any staining on my good Le Creuset dutch ovens, even the inside of the oven window. Astonish works beautifully with a scrub daddy on the really tough stuff. It really is the cleaner I rely on.

NOT ASTONISHED!
My experiences, so far, in my attempts to be Astonished by this product have convinced me that, once again I have allowed myself to be duped. Not by the Amazon descriptions, I've become immune to that mind-numbing drivel, but the glowing and gushing customer reviews that just went on and on with descriptions of the product and how they has been in this state of Astonishment for decades. I think that some even threatened to commit suicide if this product were somehow no longer available for them. I am sure that there were a couple of stories that told of "Cult" building, using friends, family, co-workers and even their own brethren from their House of Worship. One by one they felt compelled to buy the product. It was easy, who among us does not crave to feel the rush that comes while being under the influence of full blown "Astonishment". Obviously some people had convinced themselves that it was a great boon to all mankind based on the peer pressure from the cult who constantly praised the effectiveness of cleaner and just how much we owe to this fantastic "Fighter of Filth". But I digress. The bottom line is that due to those customer reviews with such high ratings I thought that I had finally found the answer I had searching for so that I could finally drag the nasty cookware out from hiding for a glorious makeover. I was going to be shocked at how amazingly easy it was to apply, while needing only an incredibly small amount for the job. I had visions of seeing the grime being lifted off my pots and pans revealing the beautiful cookware that I bought so long ago, along with my implied Astonishment... BUT ALAS! This was not to be. My fate was fraught with disappointment, even to the point of full-blown depression which was directly attributable to my pervasive, sick feeling of being violated. Those great customer reviews had been like that date rape drug rohypnol to me. I had been rendered powerless and could not resist so I joined the others by mindlessly buying the product. I somehow became convinced, or hypnotized, that I would soon be blessed with the visitation of the true "God of Clean". Like I say, this did NOT happen, not even close. What showed up at my place was a weakling midget who could not qualify to be anybody's Savior, unless you consider the British economy. The final word from me is that I could have done a better job than it did by using any of my old methods using simple, cheap products with lots of elbow grease. I found NO miracles! I was NOT impressed in any way! I certainly was NEVER ASTONISHED by the cleaning power of this, hyped-up, solution to nothing! Further, like adding insult to injury, the small container that arrived was a joke! Such a small amount belied that a concentration of strength for the contents must have surely been achieved by scientists in a big laboratory at a prestigious English University. NOT! It would take barrels of this stuff to achieve any results at all, even on a minor job of cleaning. Lastly, I have purchased many astonishing, truly effective, products of all kinds on Amazon due to the customer reviews. Astonish cleaner is NOT one of them. I now believe that those misleading reviews I read for Astonish were so convincing because they were written by people who had found that cooking the compound and smoking it was the only way to derive any feeling of being Astonished from this product whose name is an absolute misnomer.

This stuff makes cleaning my stove top and pots especially burnt ones, easy
I bought my first box of astonish cleaner at marshalls. I thought I'd give it a try. This stuff is really amazing. First of all it doesn't scratch when you use it on enamel and on mywok which I had this really icky buildup but it clean that right up. It doesn't smell. You do have to use a little elbow grease on really harsh stains, but not as much as other cleansers and steel wool. I can't go back to steel wall actually I love this stuff so much that now I'm going to try the oven cleaner

This works!
I was quite pleased with my initial results with this product. If many of us are honest, cleaning the oven is easy to put off for another day, and another day, etc. The smell is fresh citrus. I did carefully use a razor blade to scrape off the well-baked on splatters. Only a very few small spots remained and should be easy to remove. Real photos attached of before and after.
