It’s super. You won’t regret I travel with my family everywhere and helps a lot, tablets phones cameras GPS pc it’s an extra with real electricity, it’s a good choice just think for what you are trying to use it.

I got this as a gift for christmas but it didn’t come with the cigarette lighter plug. Where can I buy the cigarette lighter plug?

Honestly, you’re better off investing in hardwiring the unit. The cigarette plug is only rated/good for roughly 120 watts and at that point, you should invest in a cheaper model that only does up to 200 watts (or so). So if you need that higher wattage, hardwire it or just use the clamps. If not, invest in a different unit.

So this would be good if the power went out in my house? I just need to plug it into a car battery and can keep it inside?

They are very well built inverters. I have 3 400w inverters, for different solar projects, and 1 2000w, which I use to power my fridge, if the power goes out. The 2000w inverter is connect d to a 125ah vmax battery. If you leave it in your car plugged in, just make sure you have it powered off. The inverters are great. Hope that helps.
