The bulb's metal portion was bigger for my singer so wasn't able to fix itSo don't know about its brightness.It's not for all singer machines

Infact it's better.
The bulb perfectly in my singer 3229 sewing machine n it came packed in a small plastic box...IBut the light is white instead of yellow ..but it's not an issue ..Infact it's better.
