Don't let the low price fool you, this is the real deal
Well made and I for one like the simplicity of the switch. Press either side and the light come on. If you want to strobe, then hold it down for a few seconds.l None of this cycling through the modes. Switch requires enough pressure the light will not come on if you lay the gun down. I don't know about in a holster. To me the buttons are in the right place to activate with your weak hand.I have two Springfield - XDS and Mod 2 and while the light fits the rail, it hits the trigger guard before it locks. There is no adjustment so out comes the Dremel with the rotary bit and I shave a little off the front of the locking lug and now it is fine. Medium or full size pistols should have no problem but you might on smaller pistols I really like the mousetrap locking. Just slide the light on until it clicks. Pull down on tabs on either side to disengage the locking lug and slide it off.I picked up a two pack of batteries at Walgreens for $21 and I suspect they will last a long time.Light is very bright and makes a big circle at 30 feet or so. There is no adjustment to make a smaller spot. I turned the lights off and pointed it a mirror and almost blinded myself.I thought about night sights but for me holding a flashlight next to the barrel in a dark garage I could see the stock sight outline just fine. That is why I went with the light. Most likely I will never use it so I will probably just push the button to make sure it works every night before I put the pistol on the night stand. Pull the battery every now and then and look for corrosion and this thing should last a long time.

... one star for the fact it has a very good mounting system
I only give this light one star for the fact it has a very good mounting system. Other than that, it is a very cheaply made product that doesn't have any reliability. I had one mounted on my Taurus PT 111 and it worked great the first night I had it on. It turned on, stayed on for three minutes, and was very bright. Two nights later, I pulled my pistol out of my lock box and checked the light, but it wouldn't stay on when I released the on button. I tried multiple times and it would only stay on a second and shut off automatically. The brand new Duracell battery that I had in it works fine in my more expensive tactical light! The only thing this light is good for is the picatinny rail bracket. other than that, it is a useless flashlight on a 27 dollar frame. Save your money and invest in a better light.

Great Light
I bought this thinking I was going to get a $24.99 light. I was wrong. I have it on a full size Glock and it has ample space for me to place my finger in between it and the trigger guard. No noise what so ever from the button when depressed. One press and the light turns off and another to turn it off. Press and hold for three seconds when the light is on or off and it goes to strobe mode. Also, It has no white graphics or the name of some company on it. It is all black and functions great. Hope this helps.

Was as bright as I expected and is really good for the price
Item was in new condition. Was as bright as I expected and is really good for the price. The mount is a quick detach style which is nice but it doesn't have a solid hold on some rails. On my rifle it holds in place just fine but on my m&p9 pistol it jiggles forward and back some. Overall definately worth it for the price. I am using for airsoft. It may not hold up against real steel recoil especially if it's loose and jiggles around. The buttons are quiet and give an affirming click that you can feel.

Useless
Utterly USELESS unless you want to "look cool" with a light on your gun at the range. The light eats these rather expensive batteries at light speed, seemingly even when you dont use it which, lets face it... you wont because it WONT work. The "tactically quiet" button is ridiculous, flat out it works when it wants to. 3rd press? 5th press? Who knows, I dont care anymore, I bought a cheap light at walmart that was 10 bucks cheaper with a mechanical on switch that works everytime and uses the much more practical CR123 batteries more efficiently. This one is in the garbage, and was sent there quickly.

Useless and Kills Battery overnight
Ive had it for a few weeks now and literally It goes thru a battery a day, I didnt realize it til this week, (that the original battery was dead, figured maybe it got pinched and the light may have came on and stayed on) but nope, ordered a fresh set of duracells and battery was dead the next morn, put another new battery in, dead the next morn, now Its too late and I cant get a refund... looks great and very good fit, but doesnt hoild a charge, Its now useless... !!!

Great little light
Great little light, it is at least 210 lm if not closer to 250......I say this as I compared this light to my Nitecore P12 on its medium setting which is 240 lm. It fit ok on my Taurus P111, but after a simple modification it fits perfect and very tight, especially considering the quick release feature. Strobe function works well after pressing on button for about 3 seconds. Great power in a compact unit!

Back It Goes!!
In no way can I claim that all of these lights are junk and don't work—just the one that I got. Didn't work from the get-go. Tried every switch duration I could come up with and nothing but one tiny flash. And it's not like any useful instructions are included. Back it goes (and the batteries I bought specifically to run this light) thanks to amazon's great return policy and customer service.
